Not really looking forward to this. Well, maybe a little more since Doyle was sold. But I remember Duffy having a good game against us for Scunny once.

I'd probably take a draw now.

How many Chesterfield? Think you'll break 2K?

Not a change of breaking 2k I wouldn't have thought. We had a fair few unbudgeted games in January and that, along with us sellling Doyle will probably hit attendances.

Hope Armand's fit for Saturday ... Could really do with him scoring after an excellent performance against Crawley last week in order to give him confidence, then hopefully the floodgates will open. Other than that, it's loan players all the way for now ....

I'd be surprised, somewhere between 1500-1700 at a guess.

Clearly when you've just sold a striker who was on course for 30 goals in the season, you're not as strong as you were. For us to maintain our position somebody has to step up for us score us the goals Doyle now won't.

Yep, we need to score at least a couple of goals on Saturday in order to avoid the mass panic that we'll never score again and ensuing fights on social media ;)

You've not seen mass panic til you've been on NCM after a defeat. Lose this and I expect all sorts of 'doomed' threads to start appearing.

Someone's predicting we'll lose 1000 season ticket holders because we sold Doyle. Bob's Board proper melted down in anguish yesterday :)

I'm less confident than I was but I still see this as a very winnable fixture. 1500ish Spireites I imagine given the heavy schedule recently which would be very decent numbers.

Two, possibly three full debuts? Duffy for certain I should think, and at least one of Harrison/Lavery up top.

Gary Roberts is still the big miss for me.

Can see us only having 1400-1500 there which isn't great but we've had so many games recently and 3 unbudgeted cup trips of 1200, 1800 and 5500 in Jan will affect this greatly.

as for the game, hoping to see the new guys given ago in particular Duffy and Lavery. 3 points would be massive but wouldn't turn my nose up at a point.

I worry it'll be a heavy pitch and that Notts will be out to stop us playing primarily, as is their right.

Our pitch is actually in good nick atm. Rugby have left afaik and we've not had torrential rain so should be ok by our usual standards.

We're going through a transition of bleeding new players so we're a bit softer now, with our home form I'm a bit worried about this. Losing to Chesterfield is a bit like losing to Mansfield, feels dirty. Wild celebrations from travelling fans enjoying a day out in the big city. No offence like

Be a good one this, used to be my favourite away day as a younger lad.
Not been away to County in a few years I think.
Will be interesting what we line up as, as no one knows what Cooks plans are with the new lads.
What are your options up front like guys? Big lads, or pacey lads? As that'd change my decision of who to start at the back.

I think we'll go for-

Lee
Darikwa Raglan Hird Jones
Duffy Morsy Ryan Clucas
Lavery Armand

Subs: Wright, Evatt, Jones, Humphreys, O'Shea, Harrison, Manni.

4-4-2, with the ability for Lavery to drop back like Doyle did for a 4-2-3-1 if we're under pressure or defending. Duffy is clearly in to replace Roberts, so he should start. Lavery looks very Doyle-esque, so might be able to straight away start up a decent partnership with Armand. Only other change i'd maybe make, would be if Notts had a big lad up front. I was in Dublin on the weekend, so missed the Doncaster game. Thought heard Hird had a horrible game (true?). If so, i'd get Evatt in for the aerial presence.

To be fair, we said that last season before we played you at home.
Jesus Christ, I didn't speak for 2 days after that game. Ironic looking back, as Doyler missed some sitters to save our blushes on that day, and got panned as not good enough. Now he's in the Championship after a big money move. Crazy game.

I know what you mean mate. Think it may have been him who went around our keeper at our place aswell and missed a great chance after a few minutes at Field Mill.

There was a meeting and everything, no one invited you? Even Fleetwood were there.

Don't worry. I'll fill you in with events.
It was decided that Chesterfield were too close to Madrid whilst having Doyle, hence his departure - in turn, giving the rest of League One a chance.
It was also decided that due to Carroll being too good, and you selling us Westcarr being too bad - you must gift wrap our goal-less side 3 points.

Do enjoy an away day in Nottingham. I especially look forward to the orange-faced women with large fake breasts in Hooters

Whats the deal with Hooters these days? I'm sure last time (3 years ago?) we went to County away they were charging a fiver on the door, do they still do that?

There's not many fake boobies in Hooters from my experience. There's a lovely little brunette waitress with a rose tattoo peeking out under her hotpants on her thigh, that I swear to God i would marry in a heartbeat, she flirts up a storm too, like enough to think 'maybe she likes me' then she says the same thing to your mate 5 minutes later and it crushes you. Some of them have no dedication to the craft though and it makes me weep for women all over the globe.

Some great footballer stories in Hooters as well (*cough* Sheehan), Hooters and ACES if you want to see Nottingham footballers make idiots of themselves then grass to your mates.

Always enjoy our days out at Meadow Lane.

Only half an hour away, decent pub crawl, and some of the most threat-free home fans in the Football League.

Problem is we rarely get a result.

Many of our lot have cartoon rain clouds over their head given Doyle's departure, so it's up to the new recruits to lighten the mood.

Notts still playing the same >ahem< 'committed' stuff they did at ours'?

Ironically you were the team that deserved to be down to 10 men in that game if anything. Not even sure why we've got a bad reputation tbh, we have like one dislikable borderline dirty player in Noble who gets loads of cards and likes arguing a lot, Carroll who is a nobhead and annoys our own fans with his behaviour (but gets let off ultimately because he's good) but the rest of our team are quite soft. None of the back 4 are particularly ugly players who pick up bookings or get in tussles, nor do our strikers or wingers. So it's all a bit weird, I think it's basically Carroll and, on occasion (seeing as he's like 4th choice) Smith who wind everyone up and the whole team gets it but 95% of our squad are a mild-mannered bunch.

It's like when people say 'Derry's team reflect him' - there's only really Smith (who again, doesn't play a lot unless Noble is suspended) and Noble who are that type of player Derry was and Carroll is pretty much the only player who wastes time (even when we're losing, I don't think fans realise he's generally just a bit fucking mental rather than cynical).
