Bloodborne sounds like a winner.

I'm tempted to get a Playstation so I can play the likes of The Last of Us, Uncharted etc. Is it worth me getting a backwards compatible PS3 so I can play old games too, or should I wait it out and get a PS4? wanna play the old games too

Backwards compatible PS3s are hard to find, and PS4 doesn't have it either
The Last Of Us is on PS4 as well, but to play the Uncharted series you'l need a PS3 and then a PS2 to play anything older that hasn't had a 'HD Remake' kinda thing

I've read all PS3 play PS1, is that right?

Most PS1 games do yes, although there are exceptions. I couldn't get my copy of FF8 to run, for example, because it was a later generation PAL version (think this is the case for many Platinum games).

Still, though, pretty much all the classics are on the PSN store anyway, ranging from £3 to £10, so it's definitely worth it.

Yeah I'm thinking the likes of Tomb Raider, Medievil, Croc, Crash Bandicoot etc

I'm in work on my phone so cant view GBs link yet so might change my mind, but if I can find one reasonably priced, I'm tempted.

Well now Im finished work, been doing a bit of fishing online, and looking at the games available to download on the PS Store, without having to worry about backwards compatibility, most of the games I actually want from the PS1 & 2 are actually available on there.

CEX have a 80gb PS3 for £78, or a 120gb slim for £90. Might even think about trading in my Wii, or at least some of my games.

I'd go for the 120gb model, Smudge. The sizes of PS1 games are quite small (Think the biggest are the 1FF games which range from 1.5-2gb or something. Most of the PS1 games I have are like 300-700mb.) but the sizes of PS3 games can be quite big and then the installed data really adds up.

It would be from Florida, so I shouldn't have any language issues.

Minecraft would be the main reason I'd buy it to be fair.

If you're going to be storing loads of games it may be worth buying the base model PS3 and buying your own 2.5 inch hard drive with a larger capacity to store your games. It's dead easy to install a hard drive on a PS3 and you can pick up 500GB/1TB drive fairly cheaply now. I don't know what the saving would be buying a lower capicity PS3 and a hard drive, nor how much space the games use but it might be worth looking in to.

Went into CEX today, traded in a few old games I expected to get not a lot for, and traded them for a 160gb one. It was actually a fiver less than a 120gb because it had an unlicensed controller, so I'll take a fiver off for more storage thanks! Got the Last of Us to go with it, so all in cost 100 quid, before getting 30 knocked off for my trade ins. Not bad really.

Bastion out on this week. Highly recommend it if you haven't played it on PC.

Great month for PS4 owners!!

Leaving PS Plus:

Entering PS Plus:

4 games, with Ether One sounding right up my street, while I've been wanting to play The Unfinished Swan for a while. Guacamelee was great on PS3 so the DLC should be good, and I've looked at Race The Sun when it's been on offer and thought of buying it to kill a few hours when bored. That's all it is though looking at it, a pick up n play.

Apart from obvious (gta5, Fifa, bloodborne, witcher 3) I really enoyed far cry 4

Lots of the download only games are worth it too, 5 free games this month on PS plus. I find I play these more than games I have disks for

If you missed out on GTA5 before then it should be gotten.

There's Final Fantasy Type 0 too.

I'd include Far Cry 4 in my obvious list. That and Dragonage are probably the first games I'd go for. I had GTAV on the PS3 so won't be getting that again but might get the remastered Last of Us as I'd love to play through that again and my PS3 is currently in France.
