Would you believe that? :bg:

Nearly switched off at half time to watch Real vs Athletico Madrid, that would've been the worst decision I've ever made...

Shame out GD is so inferior otherwise we'd have a bit of a say still.

We have 2 easy(ish) home games coming up before we play PNE away. If they lose to Vale things get VERY interesting!

Top banter from North End
I'd be shitting bricks in your position, I wouldn't be as cool and jokey as you are

For the record, I'm sure PNE will still go up.

What's the situation with injuries then?

Poor lamb. I bet there was absolutely no provacation?
Honestly, no there wasn't. The referee was a fucking shambles tonight. He clearly had a clear mindset that he wasn't going to give anything to Garner unless he got kicked up in the air. Garner was nowhere near as cuntish as normal tonight and then gets shoved in the throat, the ref gives us a free-kick and books both players?! Dack committed 3 bookable offences in the first half alone and managed to survive the game card-free.

However, that had no bearing on the result. We honestly should have been 4 or 5 up at HT. Beckford and Garner missed 6 or 7 chances between them and we were absolutely dominant.

2nd half, we were fine until Laird was forced off with an injury that he picked up early on. Grayson then, bafflingly, brought on Humphrey at RB over Wiseman. Fucking ridiculous decision. This forced Woods who was playing pretty well, over to LB and he looked out of his depth.

Gills 1st goal looked like poor defending, 3 defenders all surrounding the ball and McGlashan nips in to poke it under Johnstone who I thought should have been out quicker.

2nd goal. Well. I don't even know what to say. Possibly the pass of the century to set it up. Bailey Wright is stood 3 yards away from his man and gives him a free header. Nothing Johnstone could do. Absolutely sickening.

I like Gillingham though, they didn't look a bad side but it really should have been game over by Half Time. Still, it's in our hands and 3 wins and a draw to get promotion. Game on.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the injury to Beckford, completely destroyed any outlet we had and was a key contributor in why we lost.

Should have been 6 or 7 up in first half. Second half was the reason Grayson frustrates the hell out of me

Left back injured he brings on a right winger. Beckford injured he brings on a right back instead of a striker. Baffling :ffs:

Welcome back MK and Swindon :ffs::fing::ffs::fing:

Bringing on Wiseman was the correct decision, he should have done it first time though, mental.

How do you manage to lose at least a third of your fans at this stage of the season? Serious question.

I thought Humphery did a good job against Bryan at RB / RWB on Saturday to be fair.

Wiseman should have come on for Laird yeah i agree.

But as soon as he took off Beckford he needed to bring another striker on as a outlet.

Cost us big time. Shambles second half :ffs:

Hes great as a RWB. But he brought him on at RB which is definatley not his strongest position and we had a RB sat on the bench :dis:

What a ridiculous way to get promoted, a 6-0 away win :bow:

Serious question, why do you give a fuck?

You've just been promoted and you're on here fretting about our attendance? Maybe look a little closer to home. 904 fans to a promotion clinching game is utterly pathetic (but who gives a fuck?!?!?!)

Get a grip you sad c***.

Crap away following I agree. Sat here on a Tuesday night enjoy a bottle of Champagne, happy days.

PS don't really think Mods should be writing posts like that but carry on.

Bit harsh - understand your comments about TTOCS's concern on your attendances, but a 450 mile trip to have 904 there, pretty impressive I think.

I'm not one to toss over our attendances, and you know full well I like Preston North-End, but considering you only sold 1,300 more than us on a bank holiday and its 2 and a half hours further away for us - I think it's a pretty respectable effort.

Anyway - not having a dig, and I hope you get promoted come the end of the season, and I'm sure you will.

First sign of danger and the Grayson bathers climb out from under their rock ;)

Sounds a strange situation and a baffling decision by the bloke, but it's the sort of decision that if it pays off he's a genius, if it doesn't he comes under fire.

Ballsy move.

Grayson has worked wonders for our club and has got us right back on track, but his substitions tonight were ridiculous. Why didnt you bring on KD to releive the pressure Grayson :ffs::ffs::ffs:

See I agreed with bringing Kilkenny on. We needed to kill the game and he slows things down. Just didn't work.

Never liked Wiseman, absolutely god awful at defending.
Port Vale should see the return of Big Kev if Beckford isn't fit. Experience and a couple of assists wouldn't go a miss. Beckford will be a massive miss.

Worried about Garner now, performances aren't what we are used to seeing of him, and about 5 games without a goal now.
Hat trick on Friday will do.

Absolutely murdered them in the first half, Beckford and Robinson were superb but we snatched at far too many chances instead of putting the game to bed. Second half the injuries to Beckford and Laird fucked us over big time and even though Grayson's substitutions were baffling, it was still basic errors and standing off that cost us 2pts. King should have been brought on... we miss Huntington massively.

If I went into details about the referee then it would probably involve a 1,000 word, embarrassing rant so i'm just going to mention one moment; raised arms in an off the ball incident and only a yellow card? Seriously man, kill yourself.

Luckily three of our remaining four games are away from home where we look far more professional and effective. We shit our pants at home as our home support is made up of complete shit bags who panic and moan at every opportunity and it transfers, obviously. I think we will be relying on a slip up or two from MK and Swindon and they've proven that they're more than capable of it. Game on.

Because a lot of our c*** fans don't fancy Tuesday nights in League One.
