Looking forward to this one - one of the real headline games that I looked for when the fixtures came out.

One can only hope that our players finally start aiming for the net and not the advertising hoardings, and pick up our first away point of the season. Not that I'm counting on it, obviously. ''We have a great group of lads'' says Martin. We'd win the league on politeness, as our lads clean the dressing room after they leave. Someone tell him that league survival isn't ensured on the size of your willy, as some on the Non-League forum seem to think, or attendances, as the West Country lot seem to think. It is in fact points.

As for our team, Martin Allen has said that Stack, Batt and Lisbie are not fit - that's probably better news for Barnet fans than it is to Pompey fans, with the greatest of respects to Shaun Batt. But who knows with the Dog, it could mean all three are fit and I won't be very happy.

All jokes aside, a lot of our performances have been good this season, just the result has been lacking. Here is my guess at our Starting XI:

Stephens; Hoyte, Dembele, N'Gala, Johnson; Yiadom, Weston, Togwell, Champion, Gambin; Akinde.

Subs: McKenzie-Lyle, Nelson, The Weapon, Vilhete, Tomlinson, Gash, McLean.

On the 11.02 out of Victoria, but know of a fair few going from Waterloo. Should be a decent following, hopefully in excess of 3-400.

A draw would suffice.

Why on earth wouldn't you be happy if King Kev was fit? The man is head and shoulders above the rest of your forward line, quality-wise.

Even if he gets back on the pitch I'm willing to bet he will last 10 minutes before another part of his creaking body gives up, nearly 18 months out at his age is too long. Best forgotten about rather than hoping he will make a come back and be our saviour.

Well well done on managing to be even more pessimistic than myself. An impressive achievement

We will be fine without the Orient cast offs who have proven to be poor signings to date

I had to work last Saturday so missed (fuck all) our match against Accrington. Cook has hinted that we might make multiple changes for tomorrow which hasn't really happened so far this season.

Barnet haven't started the season off too well and I'd have expected them to pick up a few more points than they have so far but I'm expecting them to give us a good game tomorrow and think they definitely have a goal in them.

We're not a hoof ball team anymore unless Stockleys on so we need to run at their defence especially N'Gala who won't be able to deal with Roberts and Bennetts running at him.

I'm gonna go for a 2-1 home win.

Batt's poor, very poor. I have warned you about him all along! Lisbie is a class act though, presuming he isn't perennially crocked now, he has the intelligence to combat age.

Lisbie recommended Batt so not only did we sign a crocked has been but we allowed him to bring a mate so he wouldn't get lonely in the medical room.

Looking forward to this one, am training it from Waterloo.

I'm going to wear my heart on my sleeve (is that even a saying, and if so is it the right one?) and say 1-0 Barnet.

N'Gala was hardly our greatest defender and Akinde was absolute dogshit for us so watch them both score in a 2-0 away win now.

In all seriousness, we struggled to break Accrington down last week and I expect changes. Tubbs, McGurk and Chaplin in for Bennett, Evans and Stockley I'd imagine.

I may have had a lager or several, but how on earth was pompeys second onside? How? Utterly perplexed.

Felt the officials were rubbish for both teams. We changed our system at half time and it made a huge difference, should have wrapped it up earlier. As for the second goal I'll need to see it again but can understand Barnets views.

4 points of contention with the officials:
- Gambin shouldve had a pen
- How can a goalkeeper be booked for timewasting after 30 mins, during his first goal kick after our goal? Even then the crowd had the ball for half the time it took. Ridiculous.
- Not quite sure how the goal wasn't offside and how despite that, the linesman raising his flag doesn't count as interference anyway.
- Stephens won the ball really cleanly for his second yellow, no way is that a foul.

I really enjoyed the day, ground and atmosphere so I'm not too fussed about the result. Portsmouth have lots of those scrotes who like to brag about a result outside the ground though, I really couldn't care less if a 17 year old shitbag thinks Barnet are shit, but its just such a sad thing to do. Lots of real friendly fans too though, made the walk to the car more bearable.

We played alright, Portsmouth played better second half and their deeper pockets/quality shone through in the end. Was really baffled at the hate Bennett received after he missed the one on one though, how can you boo a player for missing?!

Yep, agree with all of those bar the first - didn't look like a pen to me. Also, the free kick leading to their equaliser looked a poor decision (not the free kick that got Yiadom booked, that was fair enough)
I did enjoy my visit to Pompey though.

I don't think that was a pen on Gambin but I think 3-1 flattered us a bit. The defending was criminal for the Barnet goal, I can't remember the last time such an easy goal was scored at Fratton. At least Paul Cook showed his credentials as a manager as his two changes ended up winning the game for us whilst his formation switch swung the game in our favour in the second half.

The ref was a tool, too.

Pompey stewards were truly awful. Worst I have experienced.

On a day of strange decisions, this was the weirdest. What was all of that about? Booing the announcement of your MoTM?

I think the boos were for the sponsors more than anything. Bennett had a mare yesterday and didn't deserve to be anywhere near that award but the sponsors obviously wanted to meet him.

I wouldn't look too much into it, Wallace had a mare last season and got MOM because the sponsors were mainly teenage girls and got booed. Does it mean we didn't like Wallace? No course not just that others deserved it more.

That miss from Bennett was shocking though all he had to do was side foot it in or jew it to Chaplin.

Sorry, I still don't understand and unless someone puts me right about this, it sounds incredibly offensive to me.

I've got no idea but as said before, the best players rarely seem to get nominated for the award.

Going back to the game, having looked at the highlights again your keeper can have no complaints about his dismissal. Second one is a yellow card and if he hadn't persistently timewasted for the first half hour (not just the incident when he got booked) then he wouldn't have got the first.

I did find it weird that he got the award after that really embarrassing miss by him at the start of the second half.
