I give up predicting which version of us is gonna turn up. I'll just roll with it from now on.
Points to keep us in touching distance of the playoffs'd be nice though.

Huge game, if we win and beat cov next week I reckon we have a massive shot at play offs. But this will be Robbo's first real test : how he handles the squad after a loss.

Guna make one to this now, really hope the good side of us turns up as we seemed to have been very hit and miss since the sale of Doyle.

Anything is possible

I'm working, but would love to go to this as much as i'd love to see Jamie McMaster's goal at London Road again...still the best Chesterfield FC 'team' goal i've ever seen.

I'll be there.
I'm not going on holiday unless we do a preseason trip to Ireland or Scotland.
I have no life.

Might go. Not decided yet but if there's an 11.30am lift on offer I'll possibly snap it up. I'll not be paying twenty six fucking quid either way.

It's a big old game is this. Unfortunately work gets in the way again and I can't make it. I'll be there in spirit though!
I can picture a score draw

Welcome mate! I have a feeling you were on the old forum? May be wrong though.

In regards to the game, I can also see a score draw. Would be great to win, and would really keep the play-off push momentum going.

If we lose, I fear that will be that for this year. Oh well, at least we won't be relegated, which 6 weeks ago looked increasingly likely.

Well your ballboys are a bunch of cheating little shits ... Your goalie not much better.

We deserved something from that but you don't always get what you deserve.

And Manny is about as much of a footballer as I am (I'm not).

There's time-wasting and then there's what Peterborough did today. Cheating isn't a too strong of a word in this case and why that moron of a ref was happy for them to do it, i'll never know. The amount of times Clucas had to play ball-boy in the last 20 was crazy yet not one of their players were booked because of it, laughable.

It was one of those days, we were never going to score (despite creating more than enough chances) and their goal being deflected in. We really do need a more ruthless streak in us to win games when they are for the taking like today.

And this may be sour grapes stuff but i will be very, very satisfied if Peterborough were not to make the play-offs, the shithouses.

Is Bostwick playing in midfield for Peterborough now? Good to see him get the winner.

I just thought it was only me in Peterborough with Internet. PH escaped to Dubai to use his.
Might still only be you I'm currently in Reading!

Your right i was on the old one. Didn't see any notice about the old one going down. Stubbled on this site by chance and realised it was the replacement.

We've been "needing" to do stuff like that for a while.

Under Ferguson we were always too honest and it cost us so many times when teams did it to us. I'm not saying i'd want us to do it all the time because I don't, but with ten men and your backs against the wall, i'll take it. Wouldn't have happened under Ferguson and we would have lost the points.

Yep, he's like a new player. Bostwick in midfield under Ferguson was a carthorse. He was awful and no-one understood what Stevenage raved about. We moved him to centre back and he was more solid. Under Robertson/McCann, he's been terrific. A real midfield destroyer. The opposition look frightened to go for a 50/50 with him. He wins it, gives the ball to Payne and Payne does what Payne does, but he's willing to get forward and hit a few efforts too. Great to see.

e.
I fully accept that in certain situations every team is going to take their time, slows things down, including us but yesterday was taking the piss. Your keeper couldn't have made it more obvious what was happening and this started in the first-half. Then you have the ball-boys who would walk up to CFC players with the ball and then not even subtlety throw the ball in some other direction.

There was also the prick of a Posh player who made every effort to celebrate in front of the CFC when walking down the tunnel at full-time, i can take a bit of "banter" but after already being wound up by what had happened it was totally needless. It all left a bit of a bitter taste.

We should have got something from the game but the fact we didn't is down to us and not due to anything else that happened (as fucking frustrating as it was), in footballing terms i think we're a bit of a soft-touch and roll over accept our fate far too often.

Relax buddy, its only a game.

In the grand scheme of things, a Peterborough player celebrating in front of you is probably the least of your worries. The way things are going in the world, it won't be long until ISIS have gained control of the big donut car park in the middle of Chesterfield Town Centre.
