We've got about 8 players too so god knows what it'll be like.

We don't have a fitness coach either to make things even more interesting

We're back on the 26th, although players were in last Saturday doing fitness tests to check on how much work they've done since the season finished.

Sounds like when you're in year 7 and have to be in 4 hours before everyone else. That was wank aswell.

They can't even have a 5 aside game between them at the moment. We've got more keepers than midfielders on the books. Pathetic

Vale only have 15 players signed up 1 of which is Michael Brown who won't play unless we are desperate. 6 of the players have also made less than 1 professional appearances another is injured till Christmas so still need sign at least 10 players and are due back in training in 2 weeks.

Plenty of time, I didn't realise despite the stress last season it was June 28th before we made our first signings (Knops) so we are one up already!

We need to sign some fucking players. We have about 14 players, no goalkeepers.

We'll be back 26 June, probably with 2 or 3 short of a full squad. A decision will have been made by then whether to offer a new contract to Barry Corr.

One of the quietest and most business-like summers that I can remember so far. Pre-season friendlies kick off on 8 July at St Neots.

The 3 home matches are:

Cambridge United v Norwich City - 15th July, 2pm kick-off

Cambridge United v Tottenham Hotspur (Josh Coulson Testimonial) - 21st July, 7:45pm kick-off.

Cambridge United v Southend United (Simon Dobbin Benefit Match) - 29th July, 3pm kick-off.

But this time last years players who had been offered contracts had accepted or moved on whereas this year only young lads have signed up so far. There's only 4 in our squad with more than 50 games experience Pugh pope Smith Brown. Knows injured till at least Christmas Forrester injury prone the rest bar boot 1 appearance Reeves about 15 appearances Turner about 15 appearances have yet to play a single league match. Eagles Taylor Yates purpose offered contracts not replied to them as of yet at least Foley made the decision to leave easily. If the players sent signed for the start of pre season then they won't be at the fittest for the start of the season.

We've bought in a fitness coach who worked with Caldwell at Wigan so that is progress.

Also signed up 3 youth trainers to bolster our thin squad. Getting there..
