Who would you pick for a 5-a-side team in the Premier League with the current players?

Mine would be...

De Gea
Terry
Silva - Cazorla
Alexis

2x Subs: Hazard, Mata.

I tried not to make it too Arsenal heavy, otherwise Ozil would have taken Silva's spot. The whole storm around Terry is a load of bollocks, easily one of the top CBs in the league. De Gea was picked above Cech because De Gea's reactions in close shots are the best in the league.

Of course Ozil over Silva, Whilst Ozil won the World Cup for Germany what was Silva achieving for Spain?

De Gea
Terry
Hazard Coutinho
Aguero
Was tempted to cheat a bit and put a tackling defensive midfielder instead of a defender

Silva is a better player than Ozil at the moment. It doesn't matter that Ozil won the World Cup in terms of who is the better player, it's about ability and form. Ozil can produce magic on his day though, don't get me wrong.

Sorry, but you've got to be absolutely mental to think that Ozil is a better player than Silva. What they've achieved in regards to club and country honours is irrelevant or else you could say that the likes of Phil Neville is better than a lot of top players that in reality he wouldn't be fit to lace their respective boots.

Anyway, for me -

De Gea (Best keeper in the league by a distance)
Koscielny (A proper defender that is also technically sound)
Silva (Best player in the Premiership and has been for a while)
Hazard (Has the potential to be a great, only Messi carries the ball as well)
Augero (Best forward in the league when 100%)

Subs -

Toure, Alexis

That's why I also included club honours, you numpty.

Specs, rose tinted. Take them off for a moment, eh? You'll be telling us that Alexis is better than Augero next.
I'm not stupid enough to directly compare two players who play in different positions.

Silva definitely doesn't get the plaudits he deserves. For 4 years now he's been our most consistent, best performer. he barely ever puts a foot wrong. he gets a good amount of assists. he comes up with goals (probably not enough, but still a few). he would walk into any team in the premier league and any team outside of barcelona.

Yet he has never appeared on the shortlists for Player of the Year in that time period.

They're both attacking midfield players. It's not like comparing a striker with a winger. Silva is head and shoulders above Ozil, the latter who flatters to deceive more often than not and was missing again last night.

You mentioned Alexis/Aguero. And I replied. Please try to keep up with your own conversation.

And I can't see how Ozil went missing, controlled the game and had the most touches of any player involved.

Thought Ozil was decent last night, he's nowhere near as good as Silva though.

For a goalkeeper you're looking for a keeper that is going to fill a huge amount of a smaller 5 a side goal. you also don't really need to worry about how he is crosses or anything like that, it'd be based purely on shot stopping.
based on those 2, i would go with the pretty much out there choice of Pantilimon

Defence, i wouldn't have a defender. I'd have a midfielder with a lot of energy so he can get back and track when the 3 attacking players are playing up the park, I'd go again with another out-there choice of Jordan Henderson.

Hazard & Silva would be obvious choices. both excellent on the ball. Silva excellent at picking out a pass. Hazard excellent at beating his man.

Up front is possibly the toughest choice. Do you go for the poacher, the player who will always hit the target and make the keeper make a save. Or do you go for more of a hold up player who will be able to pick up a stay ball, hold off the opposition and play the ball back to your flair players. I'm going to go for Diego Costa.
