Same old, same old.

And then comes the inevitable playoff balls up (should we even get there..)

Far from over yet, but without a shot on target at home against the bottom team it doesn't look good.

Not bad considering we could only manage 5 subs and 2 of those were goalkeepers

Disappointed preston equalised but it is definitley 2 points dropped by them and I'd have taken it before kickoff

Fuck off, as I said earlier, 2 points dropped by Yeovil. Not sure why nobody believes how shite we are.

Can't see us making many changes seeing that we actually won a home game, and injuries and suspensions leave us short of options. Wouldn't be surprised if the new loanee Shephard comes in for Nana at right back, and Moore will probably continue covering at center back.

Steer
Shephard----Arthurworrey----Moore----Smith
Leitch-Smith----Edwards-----Foley----Ralph
Loza----Ugwu

With big games against Cov and Peterborough coming up a point here would be excellent, so going for an optimistic 1-1, Ugwu and Beckford
Very close!

Fair play to PNE for giving every one of our 73 fans a voucher for a free pie and hot drink. Lovely touch.
Fair play, but Christ I tried one of those pies last season and I still to this day have no idea what was in it!

Right, my hands have warmed up sufficiently to type.

First of all, what on earth was that team selection? 3-5-2/5-3-2 at home to bottom of the league. Wow. How on Earth. Brownhill kept his place after Friday is completely beyond me! What does Browne have to do to get a start?!
I'm glad he went with 2 up top, the only thing he got right.

First 20 mins we started quite well, had a bit of tempo to the play and created a couple of half chances. Looked a bit dodgy at the back but weren't threatened at all. After that, we seemed to slow right down and became ridiculously one-dimensional. From the 20th minute onwards we looked completely devoid of ideas on how to get the ball into decent positions. It's fucking shambolic.

Yeovil grew into the game, forced some brilliant saves out of Sam Johnstone, and then took the lead right on the stroke of half time thanks to poor defending from a free-kick that should never have been given.

At HT, he took Wright off and brought Wiseman on and went 4-4-2. Absolutely fine, no problem. What was a problem, was that Brownhill remained on the pitch. This game was crying out for Browne and Brownhill was having a shocker (AGAIN).

We started the second half exactly how we had ended the first, launching it forward at every opportunity. Unfortunately, due to being 4-4-2 this had pushed Gallagher out wide left and the game just completely bypassed him. How Grayson can't see that he is totally ineffective out there I do not know.

The second half was basically a siege, Yeovil barely came out of there half and we had most of the ball, but it was so easy for them to defend against. He then brought Reid on for Brownhill (Hallelujah, only 25 mins to late) and SEB on for Beckford, who again was having to feed off scraps. This changed it to a 4-1-3-2 type of thing which kind of worked.

The goal was, unsurprisingly, from a long punt upfield by Johnstone, Kev did well to lever the defender out of the way and SEB took it brilliantly. Good goal, now come on let's show some urgency and get the winner. The crowd is finally behind you so show some fucking passion! ......... Or don't. Just no interest whatsoever from the majority. The game fizzled out and Yeovil deservedly got a point.

Johnstone - did well, made some good saves, barely touched it second half, got MOTM.
Laird - one of the few who looks like he cares, played pretty well
Clarke - not his best night but didn't have much to do
Hunts - see Clarke
Wright - didn't look match sharp at all and subbed at half time
Humphrey - beat his man a few times but no end product
Welsh - battled hard and never stopped
Brownhill - needs to go out on loan. Feel a bit sorry for him but was shite
Gallagher - decent first half, non-existent second
Beckford - barely had a sniff all night, long ball doesn't suit his play, got MORE unfair criticism from our idiots
Kev D - worked hard and won a lot of headers, but not much else

Subs
Wiseman - came on and did really well
SEB - took his goal well, looked good
Reid - meh

All in all, another very disappointing display and more ammunition for the retards in the Grayson out brigade. Looking more and more likely that it will be play-offs at best but obviously a very long way to go and still 12 days left to get some new faces in. We had a blip like this earlier in the season and recovered, can we do it again. I hope so, but I'm doubtful.

Oi, 3-5-2 has worked pretty well for us this season :)

i still think preston have a good chance at going for autos, 20 odd games left, but the (general) consistency among the top 4 this season leads me to think it's our games against each other that will be crucial.

We have already thrown away a 10 point lead this season, and all teams are due to have a blip during the remainder, it's all down to the reaction in the game after. For what it's worth preston are the team I'd prefer to go up along side City too

We played it a fair bit last season and it just did not work at home. Brilliant on the road, but shite at Deepdale. I thought he'd have learnt by now!

Oh damn I knew I forgot to mention something. The referee.

Now, I'm not usually one to moan at referees having been one myself for a few years, I like to stick up for them. However tonight, was the weakest refereeing performance I have ever witnessed. He didn't really get too much stick because there were no bad challenges in the whole game but from the very first minute, Yeovil players were taking an absolute age over everything.

I don't blame Yeovil for this at all, most teams do it, especially when bottom of the league away at a team near the top. I have no problem with that. My problem lies with the fucktard in black who, admittedly, warned the goalkeeper after about 15 minutes because it was the 3rd or 4th time he'd taken the piss. Steer did exactly the same thing every single goal kick after this, and the ref warned him 4 times (I counted) and never booked him! What's the fucking point?!

All through the second half, Yeovil players using every trick in the book to wind the clock down (again, no issue with this), but at the end he only adds on 4 minutes. There were 5 subs in the second half so that's 2 and a half minutes right there. Unbelievable.

How not a single Yeovil player got booked for timewasting I will never know.

Anyway, I'm done. Night chaps.

Our lowest home crowd in the league since 1998 and there is one man to blame, our absolute shit stain of a manager.

Despite being able to blow most teams out of the water at this level in terms of finances we play some of the worst (if not the worst) football in the division. If you don't have a season ticket then there is zero incentive to attend Deepdale to watch this utter shit, in fact, numerous season ticket holders are now choosing to stay at home and can't even give their ticket away.

Losing Garner isn't an excuse, he's put a squad together and he has no idea how to get the best out of it. If Graham Westley had a fully-settled Joe Garner then I honestly think he could have done a similar job. Even when we had a chance of an automatic place earlier in the season we still had to endure turgid, predictable football under this negative Yorkshire c***.

Last night was disgusting and I feel exactly the same as I did towards the end of Alan Irvine's reign as attending Preston games is no longer enjoyable.
