Back to normal for the Rams with Thorne now an injury doubt. Bryson should be back for this.

Going to go for a draw - 1-1. Martin with ours.

Best time to play Derby, as they'll click eventually, and they'll go on a rampage.

For now though, they're still adapting to life under Clement, and I expect a solid PNE side to take advantage.

1-0, Johnson with the goal.

Derby should be smashing us with their options but we held our own against Boro and we we're very unlucky to lose to Ipswich. Tough run of games but it would be deflating to lose 3 in a row. A point wouldn't be a bad result.

Not sure how we will line-up, hopefully Cunningham has recovered over the break and I can only see one of May or Doyle starting, probably May considering he's the permanent addition. Dropping Garner isn't an option for me.

Pickford
Clarke, Huntington, Wright, Cunningham
Welsh
Humphrey, Gallagher, Johnson
Garner, May

Kirkland, Vermijl, Woods, Kilkenny, Browne, Keane, Doyle

Thorne and Bryson ruled out. I stand by the prediction of a 3-1 defeat.
Fucking hell, when is Thorne actually not injured? He's a fantastic player at this level no doubt, but he's seemingly made of sticks. Ridiculous.

Comfortably our best player by an absolute mile, when fit. I have no doubts he would be at the highest level if he didn't have injury problems. We're a damn sight weaker side without him.

I expect to see:

Scott
Chris Richard Jason Craig
Jeff Bradley Jacob
Tom James

To be fair he's played all games in pre season and league fixtures so far this season but suffered a calf strain against Leeds. Being out so long means we've got to be careful and we would have if we were not down to the bare bones in midfield squad members! Soon as Bryson is back I imagine we may rest him a few games just so his body gets used to football again.

We have so lost this.

5 changes, and some for no good reason.

Grant; Christie, Keogh, Shackell, Warnock; Butterfield, Baird, Johnson; Ince, Martin, Russell

Why start Grant over Carson? Carson has done absolutely nothing wrong? Warnock over Forsyth too. We need a settled back 5, not chop and change for absolutely no reason.

And down to ten men, as we've used all our subs. Another Birmingham type game where Preston will score two late goals.

Have we gone a game yet without getting an injury?

We were awful today.

Slightly better when the 2 new lads came on but not good enough. Derby probably won't get a easier win all season

Thought it was a pretty even but dull game, shite defending for both their goals, letting Johnny Russell get the run on us both times, the ball in for that first one should have been dealt with by Huntington or Wright too. Russell was the difference between the two sides imo, best opposition player i've seen at Deepdale in ages. Tom Ince was shite as expected.

Could have easily levelled it in the second half when Garner did everything right and his volley hit the inside of the post and bounced into the keepers arms and then Doyle forced Grant into a class save to his bottom left. The long stoppage for Baird's head injury wasn't helpful as Derby were starting to look shaky.

Johnson had a great game and deserved his goal, need to get this guy's contract extended asap. May and Doyle both looked lively when they came on too, liked what I saw, i'd like to see them both start alongside Garner on Tuesday. We could really do with winning that.

Garner's turning out as shit as I said he would be. Still no goal for him.
Played as a lone striker so far and has been getting chances, no doubts that he will bag us some goals this season.

How many times have you watched him this season?
