Based purely on run ins, us and Plymouth look likely for autos - although our defeat on Saturday means no game can be taken for granted.

Crewe’s run in looks toughest but expect them to get an auto slot too.

Play offs - Exeter, Cheltenham, Colchester, Vale - although the Northampton/Colchester game looks pivotal.

Cheltenham's game in hand and their form could be the elephant in the room. If they win that then it becomes really open, they just don't concede goals so will have a chance.

I think Exeter are going to have to settle for the PO's now.

Our hopes rely on us turning up against the mid table sides as most of our games left are against those, I dare say we will perform superbly against Bradford, Crewe and Argyle then flat efforts against the likes of Newport and Oldham!

One plus is I believe Cobblers, Colchester and Bradford all have to play each other whereas we only have Bradford left so they will all be taking points off each other. Cobblers have the toughest run in and are losing games lately so that and Bradford's away form means we've a 50-50 chance. We just need to turn those draws against the lower placed sides into wins!

Out of the 9 games to go, I think that 5 wins and a draw should see us home (hopefully). Pressure and expectation does funny things to people though, im sure there will be many a twist and turn before the Port Vale game on the last day of the season.

Crewe’s next 5 look tougher then Swindon’s, Plymouth’s or Cheltenham’s. Come through those still in the top 3 and they’ll be looking good for promotion.

I thought that we were a good shout for the auto's a month back but since the FA Cup Derby game we appear to have fallen back quite considerably with our negative inconsistency. It wouldn't surprise me if we now fell out of the play-offs.

Hopefully Saturday's home loss was a bit of a wake up call for us. We haven't exactly been on top form wiping the floor with anyone so its not a huge surprise we have come unstuck.

FGR have been on awful form so their fans on here (who appear to be good eggs) must be well relieved so have taken the points in their cup final (winky face).

We need to ensure we get back on winning ways at Oldham, although I suspect they will be well up for it on Saturday.

Oldham are a really funny one, we go there in a couple of weeks and just not sure what to expect, they've walloped a few teams at home but been walloped a few times in recent weeks as well!

Yep, that’s our Cup final done so now we can down tools and roll over for the likes of Crewe and Plymouth.

Please make sure you don't do that Chris, you guys can still make the play-offs if you try your hardest!!

Will you roll over for us in a couple of weeks please?

To be fair, we don't usually lose at FGR, we've drawn every comepetitive game there (bar the checkatrade, but that doesn't count).

Probably the only other game he'll manage to get us up for. You'll be fine either way.

Talking of strikers, Doyle and Yates didn't look up to much on Saturday. Couldn't score against a left back and teenage right back filling in at CB. Hasn't Doyle only scored in 1 game since coming back from Bradford?

Nope, he scored a brace last Tuesday against Scunthorpe.

Technically that is only in 1 game though ;)

Ah just read what you wrote properly. :)

Yes he had only scored in one game. Yates hasn’t played well for ages and despite Doyle only scoring in one game has played ok. We don’t seem to be creating the chances we did earlier in the season which is mildly concerning but I’m sure we have enough fire power to get us over the line.

I was quite confident on us going up automatic, then I did another predictor and ended up with this. Not sure I could handle that play off match

If Cheltenham get 24 from 30 points then not really much to counter that on our part. I do think we’ll finish around the 85-88 point mark which should be enough imo.

Swindon should piss it from here on in with their run in. They should probably win every game they have left now. They barely face a credible footballer before the end of April. Absolute stonewall league win. No pressure lads.

We will draw too many games against teams below us and miss out by a couple of points. Still, a great season considering I thought we’d finish about 15th but I’d be gutted to miss out!

A Vale v Crewe play off semi or final would be absolutely fantastic. Though I do think Crewe have enough to go up automatically. Potentially as champions.

We’ll win all our remaining home games, so that’s 15 points there. Sadly, we can only hope for draws away from home because this squad of players are shivering shithouses.

At least you can take consolation that you'll probably have the biggest crowds to see the games though.

Will teams have a chance to finish the season or will they cancel it ?
