He looked ok in the first half, nothing more.

Been his usual self this half though, literally just ran out of play a minute ago.
Fucking he’ll mate, I’m as much a critic of the bloke as anyone but he was a fucking boss in that first half

Can Brazil reverse what Belgium did to Japan?

Saying that Belgium would kill for someone like Kane’s in this half. Really struggled to hold the ball up

See, Belgium are shaky at the back. They’ve lost their urgency to press now. It’s been poor tactics for this second half

Thinking back, I probably was a bit harsh.

Made the goal, made the Hazard chance before that amongst others.

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Coutinho has to be scoring there.

Hazard has been excellent today. Brazil have had no answer for him.

Neymar isn’t fit to lace Hazard’s boots.

Douglas Costa has completely changed Brazil this half and he did the same vs Costa Rica, why don’t they start him..

If Real Madrid need a player to replace Ronaldo, there is a winger from this game I'd go after and it isn't Neymar.

Well, they started well, but Brazil faded badly. They were shocking overall and deserved to lose. Belgium on the other hand finally showed their teeth and lived up to the star power in their squad. Excellent performance from them. They'll cause France some serious problems for sure. See you in 4 years Neymar.

The prospect of a manager as limited as Martinez winning the world cup is actually quite bizarre.

South America have generally been a bit underwhelming this tournament.

Crazy to think Belgium were close to being knocked out by Japan, and now they could win the entire thing.

Brilliant stuff Belgium, well done for knocking these arrogant samba bastards out - get it right up ye Neymar and Cnutinho!

Fair play to Bobby Brown Shoes, he got his tactics and team spot on; Hazard, Courtois, Lukaku, Witsel and yes, even Fellaini, were sensational tonight! Thoroughly deserved!

As good as Belgium were overall, Brazil should have won the game with the chances they created in the second half. Douglas Costa was brilliant when he came on, should have played the entire tournament ahead of Willian, a far more dangerous player if not as defensively sound. Some dodgy finishing from Augusto and Coutinho and a fantastic performance from Courtois might have saved Martinez's blushes, he didn't bring on players early enough and the decision to take off Lukaku might have been viewed as suicidal on a less fortuitous day.

Hazard man of the match, his second half performance was stunning. Held the ball so well, he and Fellaini bought a tonne of fouls in the last 20 minutes to give Belgium a breather.

played it perfectly so far. Got lukaku, De Bruyne and hazard playing without sacrificing any of their talents. Maybe not so limited eh

There are a bunch of average managers that have won International tournaments, I wouldn't put too much thought into it. Martinez is one of the best managers at this World Cup based on what he's done at club level, which says a lot about the quality of International managers. Have basic organisation and good man management and you've won half the battle, let the squad do the rest.

No it isn't. He's a superb cup/tournament manager. Masterstroke appointment by Belgium given they've got the players perfect for his style.

Well he was probably a comeback away from being badly criticised - bit like Southgate would have been had we lost on Tuesday.

As Graham Taylor once said sometimes you have to be luck - even tonight despite their excellent performance Belgium were lucky not to give away a penalty for the foul on Jesus.

Lol that was not a penalty. The ball ran out of play before the foul was committed.
