So on Saturday the Wolverhampton contingent are travelling down to Reading for what I expect to be a very feisty affair. Wolves go into this game unbeaten in 6 whilst Reading have won 3 of their last 4. Wolves' hopes for a second consecutive promotion have looked rather on the money so far- sitting in 3rd place, level on points with Norwich who are second- albeit they're only 8 games into the season. Reading on the other hand haven't had a spectacular start to the season but are still sitting very comfortably in 11th place thanks to results such as their recent 3-0 win, albeit against a struggling Fulham. However their 1-0 loss at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday will have come as a kick in the teeth, as they saw a Glenn Murray penalty saved by the opposition goalkeeper Keiren Westwood, only for Wednesday to then score a late winner to leave Reading a long trip home empty handed.
Reading vs Wolves is a fixture that dates back to 1926 however their most notable meetings came just 11 years ago in the Play Off semi finals. Wolves won both legs- 2-1 and 0-1 to progress to the final.

Both teams have a full team to pick from, however Reading might be changing things round having played midweek. Wolves are likely to play a 4231/433 formation and I'd have imagined summer signing Van La Parra will come back in having been rested for the past two games. His fellow attackers Nouha Dicko and Bakary Sako are both expected to start, with Sako and Dicko both leading Wolves' goal chart having scored 3 a piece so far this season. In the heart of defence lies Danny Batth and Richard Stearman who have proved they're more than capable of the step up from League One football, boasting the best defensive record in the league- having only conceded 3 so far this season.
Reading's goalkeeper Andersen could be in line for his home debut on Saturday after having a solid debut against Sheffield Wednesday that deserved a clean sheet, only to be denied by a deflected free kick. Cox is in line to start having had an impressive start to the season; he's already scored 4. New-boy Glenn Murray who has joined Reading on loan will be lining up against the team who he was linked with over the summer having had a solid start with his new club.

This will be a very interesting game with Wolves hoping to go top and Reading hoping to move into the play-off places, I'm predicting a 3-1 win in favour of the away side.

It will be a good game definitely, I agree with you, I think it'll be a Wolves win! (By the way it's on Sunday not Saturday as it's been chosen for TV coverage by Sky)
