It seems Burton managed to get back on the goal-train against Vale at the weekend, albeit late on. Meanwhile we were held to a 0-0 draw (surprise, surprise) by the 0-0 specialists, Rochdale.

Our form has improved though (we won last week), but we need to start winning at home. I don’t know why, but I fancy us this weekend.

Likely Team:

David Cornell

Cameron Dummigan – Brian Wilson – James Wilson – Danny Lafferty

Liam Kelly – Jay Fulton

Danny Philliskirk – Carl Winchester – Dominic Poleon

Michael Higdon

Jones picked up an injury against Rochdale and was in a protective brace after the match, so he may sit this one out. If not, I imagine he’ll come in for Poleon.

Prediction: Latics 2-1 Burton (Higdon & Poleon)

2 clean sheets for us in last two games. Hoping we have turned the corner after a poor run.

I'm going for 0 0 or a 1 0 win to us with Nasser scoring again
Can't see more than 400 going but I maybe wrong. We took 450 to Blackpool on a Tuesday night

Weir & Ismail both out for your lot - that true?

Lafferty has gone back to Burnley due to injury which is a big blow. Whether that means Eckersley plays LB or Mills is thrown straight in, I don't know.

Weir has a 3 game suspension after his red card against Vale and Zeli is out from 4 to 6 weeks after getting his ankle clobbered at Vale Park on Monday playing for the reserves. Doubt it will make much difference to the Albion to be honest, Calum Butcher will most likely slot straight in for Weir and Zeli hasn't actually started a game this season. More important for us will be if Stuart Beavon has recovered from his knock, thankfully the signs look good.
Not sure if I can go at the moment due to work commitments but expecting the game to end in a draw.

People keep thinking Albion will fall away, 1-0 away without playing great and we are still right up there.
Personally i think you will. It all comes down to january where the bigger teams strengthen and the smaller teams dont.

Btw, that game was awful.
I had to rely on friends at the game as I couldn't attend and they said the same. I totally agree about January, I have just posted similar on the Brewerstalk forum. Might not be too bad for us in all honesty as we have 4 quality players in the wings who have hardly featured this season for various reasons. Namely Darius Charles, Zeli Ismail, Callum Reilly and Aurelium Joachim. All 4 who I would rate very highly
