Fair play lads, but does this mean TFF is dead forever, or what?

Dunno, TFF will always hold a special place for me, hopefully we can make this place better though!

Saddlerrad was keen on 'Football Ninety Two'

Any feedback at that? He's working late tonight so figure I'd throw it in here for him.

Not for me. It excludes the Non League, european and international scene then.

Is The Football Forums possible?

I don't think the name of it matters TOO much. As long as it doesn't have the words "Soccer" or "world" or any shite american ism like that it's cool.

I appreciate the branding might not sound particularly important, let me explain the reasoning though;

We'll be registering a new domain, quickly transferring the site to it and then redirecting the old name to the new (this has benefits when it's comes to search engines). Similar to what LW has just said, the current name excludes the premier league amongst various others that we'd like to target to broaden who we can attract to the boards.

Football Ninety Two could be construed as you saying football started in '92... Premier League etc. Not good.

Fair enough, What about

The Football Family?

We can still say TFF then?

I think TFF2 was already ruled out by Admin on the football forum, before it was (seemingly) shut down forever

Their could be copyright issues with using it anyway, but respect their wishes. Let's not stoop to the level they seem to have sunk to today.

TA has won.

The Football Family is excellent and allows TFF to continue.

Football 92 has 2 connotations for me.

1. The 92 clubs at the top 4 levels of English football. This excludes supporters of non-league and non-English clubs.

2. The creation of the Premiershite which has killed a number of clubs and created an elite.

I don't like it.

Agreed Rammy. It does seem very strange of them to just shut it down despite claiming there would still be a couple of months left. Because of that so many people have been left in the dark who won't know about this site, but there we go.

don't like Football 92 either for reasons mentioned.

I like The Football Family too, mainly so we can keep TFF. Why not just put an s on the end and call it The Football Forums

And a celebration of a wonderful season culminating in a heroic LUFC title. I'm in.

I don't like The Football Family, purely because it reminds me of our fans hashtag which was used a couple of years back on twitter (#bristolcitytwitterfamily). Thankfully, people came to their senses and realised it was incredibly cringe-worthy. Very rarely see it used now.

Don't get me wrong I'm not having a dig at the suggestion, if people like that name then I'm happy to go along with it :)
