So If you have to win to have any chance of staying up do you expect your manager to throw caution to the wind and go all out attack?
Well surely he has go for it. Although a point may be enough should Welling fall to defeat v Southport which I cant see happening. Problem is there will be space for Rovers to exploit at the back. (There was yesterday) Fortunately Welling didnt take their chances. Rovers will I am sure.

Alfreton's game plan should be pretty straight forward I would have thought. Whether they can execute it is another matter.

Park the bus and look to get to half time 0-0. Look to frustrate until 20 minutes to go and then try and nick a winner. Play on the fact that Bristol Rovers will be as nervous as you, which levels the playing field somewhat.

It seems the Bristol Rovers manager is keen to know what is happening at the other game and if we were able to be comfortably ahead against Gateshead, I wouldn't be surprised if he started pulling players off with one eye on the play-offs. Can be the only reason why he'd want somebody at the other match feeding information back to him.

The quick turnaround to the first leg (and second leg for that matter) could be crucial if Barnet are leading comfortably, Gas will surely rest people giving Alfreton a chance as you say. 12,000 people urging them on is far more important on the other hand though.

Annoying that at least two good away days for me (Nuneaton and Telford) with one certain to follow in Alfreton, are going from this league.

I know I've been a tad scathing of Alfreton as a club the past couple of months, but DSL is a pretty harmless poster, so a little sad for him at this moment.

However, thinking about it - they still have a chance, just, but probably no better than 5-10%. If Barnet can score two quick goals and finish it off, I feel the Rovers players may go through the motions, which could open up an opportunity.

Whether Southport can take anything at Welling is another matter I guess.

I'd be pretty pissed off if I was a Bristol fan and the players saw at half time that Barnet were winning 2-0 and they came out in the second half took it easy and lost 1-0 and then see Barnet ended up finishing 2-2!!

You Tin Pot clubs are hard to distinguish, one from the other truth to tell, the story seems to be the same in all cases. Your paddling along in Dog and Duck in front of one man and his dog until a local business man decides to adopt you as his hobby. He puts a bit of brass in to take you out of your comfort zones for a season or two but inevitably the money runs out or he finds another hobby, then back you go to Dog and Duck, leaving not a trace behind. No one who supports a real team will remember you were ever here by the time the next season starts. Who are Hyde by the way?:dk:

I fear for the Alfreton fans if they ruin Brizzle's last day like a midlands club did last season!

Why can't he just download the Sky Sports app for his mobile?

Think it will be alright , hope so anyway . It was a fucking awful day and I don't think anyone wants to see those scenes again.

I'll stick up for Braintree here B2TF - they have no backer, haven't had any brass put in to get them up, just had an amazing run and 2 very good managers who have done superbly with what they've got. Like the Braintree fan I think they are going to struggle next season, not just with Devonshire going, but with the teams coming up having the financial clout that the majority of this division doesn't have, let alone Braintree.
Whoever stays up of Welling, Southport and Alfreton will be doing incredibly well to survive next season as well. They'll all be hoping the likes of Chorley or Basingstoke come up rather than Whitehawk or Fylde.

I have to admit, I look at potentially both of Barrow and Fylde coming up, Bromley are a decent side, and potentially Whitehawk as well, and I'm a little worried for us, genuinely.

We haven't even looked like doing anything in this division and we've been here four years already. Moyses staying really doesn't bear thinking about - we could go unless Dorrian sacks his mate. Absolute mess.

Yes next season looks to be intriguing already.

Lincoln Kiddy and Torquay could be in genuinely in relegation danger. Along with Altrincham, Braintree and Southport and whoever stays up out of Welling/Alfreton.

It will be interesting if Guiseley and Boring wood come up too

While I full expect us to be bottom half conference North and possibly facing another relegation battle if poor decisions are made again. ie having 8 EIGHT goalkeepers in a season!

We're in big trouble if Bob continues his folly of having his mate as manager. Cant see any of our decent players stopping( Tomlinson, Miller and Bencherif) and playing the non-descript crap we're currently serving up. Sub 1500 crowds on Saturdays very quickly if we continue in this vein IF the bank dont pull the plug in three weeks time!

Hadn't spotted that Telford had pulled themselves above Nuneaton and Dartford. That's a great effort considering how far adrift they were.
