Sadly passed away, not often a sporting death actually makes me feel cold, but this does.

Absolutely gutting news.

RIP Jules.

Was expecting this news sooner rather than later after the last report his father put out. Tragic circumstances too. RIP Jules.

Jules Bianchi: the white (bianco) knight of the road, a true diamond (jewel) and a man who energised (joules) a sport for a generation.

You burned across our pallid lives like an azure comet streaking through midnight’s firmament, a portent of bountiful internal combustion harvest to follow, the innervation of a motorsport formula as moribund as your now expired anatomy.

Your ‘parc’ may be forever ‘ferme’, but it will be metaphorically ‘ouvert’ in our hearts in perpetuity, leaden with blackened sorrow as said hearts may be.

RIP and YNDA.

Gone but never, ever, ever, ever, ever to be forgotten.

Talented kid, and a real shame that we'll never watch him fulfil that talent further. He would have, undoubtedly, in my opinion gone on to a big team. Possibly Ferrari in the longer run.

Not unexpected after his fathers latest statement, but still a shock. I hope the Formula One world does something proper to remember him in Hungary.

RIP Jules.

Here were rumours before the accident that he was due to sign a pre contract with Ferrari to be their 3rd driver for the next season... since his current team were likely to go into admin. Think he was at Ferrari a few years ago too, although not in an F1 capacity.

Sad hearing this, I still remember Imola in '94 well and though great advancements have been made, motorsport will never be 100% safe - nor should it be.

Anyway, RIP Jules Bianchi.
