Six Nations at the weekend then, Wales are slight favourites with the bookies to beat England on Friday night...an accurate reflection?

Atmosphere is going to be off the charts Friday night.

For a rugby game. So less noise than the Racecourse on a Saturday afternoon.

Right, might as well explain my comment. Just pointing out that rugby atmosphere isn't the best.....

Obviously but generally the atmosphere at games isn't great. I've been to a few important league games and the atmosphere wasn't great, obviously it's different for the Six Nations, but even then it doesn't compare to football IMO.

South Africa vs. Samoa at the 2003 World Cup was something else, incredible atmosphere in Brisbane that night which ended with 50,000 people cheering as both teams prayed together.

Fiji vs. Canada at the 2007 World Cup under the roof at the Millennium Stadium was awesome in the final few minutes. Only 10,000 or so people there but the noise was so loud as Canada were trying to score late on and record a famous victory.

------------------------------

Wales vs. England always causes a split in loyalties for myself. Half my family are Welsh, the other half are English. I was born and bred in England but studied in Wales. I fancy Wales to win it, partisan home crowd under the roof, solid forward pack (outstanding back row) and the backs can create something out of nothing. George North is the best winger in the Northern Hemisphere and a good mate of mine is an Ospreys fan who really rates Rhys Webb.

Not to mention the goal kicking machine that is Leigh Halfpenny.

Anyone got an insight into how Sam Burgess is getting on? Was always a shame to lose a player of such quality to rugby union but that's the way it goes now. All the best players in England either leave for the NRL or union. Losing Burgess, Sonny Bill and Hayne all in one year was awful for the sport.

As for the Six Nations, I'm looking forward to it, will have to miss England on Friday as Saints are playing but hopefully the full match will be on iPlayer. Maybe a bit of bias but I think England will win by less than five points.

Gonna watch this battle of the hemispheres tonight. Not really a big fan of rugby but I love a good grudge match whatever the sport.

Sharks win, southern hemisphere back up their words with action.

Scappy affair but I suppose that was to be expected.

I think Wales will win tonight too, but it'll be close all the way.

Who do people think will win the championship? I reckon Ireland will do it again, though I expect it'll be close between them, England and Wales. Keep hearing things about Scotland being contenders this year too, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Spent all week waiting for this. Love the Six Nations.

Gotta fancy Wales obviously with the settled team and England's injuries. I like the look of England's forwards against theirs but reckon they'll just have a bit too much overall and the backs to cause too much damage, plus the advantage with goal-kicking. Fancy Rhys Webb to have a blinder too.

Yeah I would of been much more confident of it wasn't for the injuries. I don't think Farrell will be a huge loss, but the likes of Courtney Lawes, launchbury and tuilagi will be.

If the atmosphere at the Millennium is so great, why the need for Bruno Mars, some fancy lights and fireworks?

Will never understand how in the year 2015 they haven't simplified the rules a bit. 'Handling in the scrum?'....'dunno, maybe'
