Ryan Brunt has just signed for Argyle

What can you tell us about him?
When he first came to us he was really good. Since then he has had injury after injury and in the end it was the best for both parties he was released. Hopefully if you can get him fit he could well turn out to be a good signing. But I think he is injured at present. One thing for sure he is a decent bloke and was liked by all.

We didn't see a great deal of him but he gradually improved during his brief spell at the club. He started his last three matches and seemed to cause the opposition quite a few problems, in truth he rarely looked like scoring but he brought others into the game and held up the ball well. Unfortunately his time with us was ended by injury, I'd have been quite happy to see him sign for us, in fact a lot of our fans would, you only have to look at our forum to see that.

He really has all the attributes to be a good centre forward, when he joined he was great aerially, good strike on him plus a hell of a long throw. You could see all the components were still there, since the injury there seems to be no link between them all if that makes sense. We wish him all the best if he can get back to his best he'll be a hell of a player!

It's been really frustrating watching such a good player trying to recover from injury after injury . If you get him fully fit you've got a good un. All the best Ryan.

Works hard but lacks quality. Surprised a league club has gambled on him again.

Brunty, when he first joined, looked a promising player. He was (and still is) young, scored a few goals and offered something a little bit different to what we already had. Unfortunately for him he got a serious knee injury and couldn't play much of last season and when he recovered he was part of a Conference squad.

In truth when he played at the start of this season he looked very poor; off the pace, reluctant to go into any 50/50s, lacked conviction in his shooting. He then came back in after a spell at York and looked quite good away at Tranmere in the FA Cup but he was soon let out on loan again to Stevenage and whilst there he picked up yet another injury and hasn't played for anyone since.

Brunt strikes me as one of those players who will now always be one twist or turn away from injury, but if you give him enough time to get up to match fitness and he gets a bit of luck, I think he can be a useful squad player for you in League Two. He is a top bloke and always gives his all, so if anyone deserves a bit of fortune now it's him.
