Today we had to bury not just a friend but a mate. A real City fan and he was only 50.
I'm sure we (us older fans) have memories of mates / fellow fans that have passed and I wanted to pay tribute to a bloke, a proper bloke who wasn't just a fan but an old school fan.
In the 80's, when a row at the football was normal, he was always there to pull you out of the s**t and back people up. It wasn't just about the football either, that crowd were true mates for years and years.
Paul (Norm) Selwood, I'm going to miss you my friend and at least you lived to see the day our club were acclaimed as Champions.
You were truly, City til you died.
Please feel free to share memories of those that have passed as I will miss a truly diehard supporter and a friend.
R.I.P bud, sleep well.

RIP fellow Red - we couldn't have possibly given him a better send off though!

8 months ago now, God it's gone quick, I buried my Dad. A Shots fan for 70 years, he was the one who infected me with the football disease, particularly the Aldershot strain. We drove back from Dover after another typically spineless performance, I dropped him home at midnight and by 6.00am he was gone. Must have been the last straw for the poor old sod.

When we buried him half of the first team turned up (unlike a week before) and plenty of players past. Dad was an enthusiastic volunteer at the club even though he was 80, he still loved cutting the pitch. The measure of how he was regarded was the number of messages the club received from far and wide and clubs from the Conference and League Two.

A true fan until he died, he will never be forgotten, by me and all who knew him.

Condolences for your loss Ciderup, mates leave a very big hole when they are gone.

RIP Dad.
