I actually spent a bit of time looking at the fixtures for this weekend, and there's quite a few interesting games lined up for this weekend...

Wrexham vs Tranmere (12:15 KO)

Wrexham go into this local affair in 10th place, while Rovers sit in 2nd and in perfect position to capitalise on any drop in form from Lincoln. It's a run of no win in four for Wrexham, and without a clean sheet in 5 home matches, while Tranmere are in a run of 6 wins in their last eight games. Form points towards an away win, but I envisage a close affair.

Boreham Wood vs Macclesfield

12th host 9th in this one, and being honest this is one the few games where there doesn't appear to be much to get excited about. Boreham Wood have conceded just once in their last 6 matches, while Macc have been quite inconsistent, but come into this on the back of two home defeats.

Dagenham vs Eastleigh

With no draw in the last fourteen matches for the Daggers, I wonder whether this is the game that streak ends. Eastleigh come into it with a similar run of either winning or losing, with two draws in their last eight. The hosts would want a win to ease any fears of dropping out of the top five.

Dover vs Gateshead

This game is pretty big in the race for the playoffs. Dover are currently down in 8th with Gateshead a point ahead in 7th. Gateshead are 10 unbeaten while Dover have lost 3 of their last six. At home, however, they are stronger, averaging just under 2 points a game at the Crabble. A defeat wouldn't be the end for either team, but it may well be a damaging psychological blow as we approach the final straight.

Forest Green vs North Ferriby

This must be a home win if FGR wish to stay in the title race. Ferriby are in severe danger of being completely cut off from the survival race, and I feel this weekend may see that unofficially happen.

Lincoln vs Bromley

The Imps were pegged back late against Sutton last night and will want to return to winning ways this weekend. With FGR having what looks a straight forward game, and Tranmere having a trickier assignment, this could be an opportunity to reopen the gap at the top of the division. Bromley have one win in eight, scoring just five goals in the same timeframe.

Maidstone vs Barrow

Maidstone are in some of their best form of the season, unbeaten in seven, and go into this one on the back of a great comeback win at Woking last weekend. Barrow, meanwhile, are four unbeaten and are looking to make it three consecutive away wins, after successes at Solihull and Chester. A win may catapult them back into the playoff positions, while Maidstone are still looking over their shoulders, so this will have interest at both ends of the table.

Solihull vs Aldershot

With three consecutive losses, Solihull are not yet safe from the bottom four. Their home form has been a bit of an issue, with only four teams picking up less points on their own turf. Aldershot are in some excellent form which has seen them gatecrash the playoff party. With 3 straight wins, the Shots will be looking at this as a good opportunity to make it four and consolidate their position in the top five.

Southport vs Guiseley

Another big game at the bottom. Southport must win to close the gap and reduce the risk of an early relegation, while Guiseley (despite excellent form) are still looking behind at the chasing pack. Guiseley are undefeated in four away games but have been very reliant on their home form, with 70% of points coming at home. Southport have just one win in eight, so are not in great form going into this one.

Torquay vs Chester

With 4 points from two away games, this has suddenly become a bit of a 6-pointer for both involved. Chester are in poor form with just 6 points from 24 in their last eight matches. Torquay have just one defeat in five, and, despite off-field issues, Kevin Nicholson is doing a hell of a job with minimal resources. We've not won at Plainmoor since January but will be desperate to stop that this weekend.

Woking vs Sutton

Another six-pointer, really. Woking slipped back into the bottom four after last night's results, and will see this as a must win encounter. Sutton have the worst away form in the division with just two wins. A home win would see Sutton sat six (at a maximum) clear of the bottom four, while a victory would see it become 11, so they'll be hoping a win will completely kill off any fears.

York vs Braintree

York are putting together a great run of form, and appear to be doing what we did last season - coming from the dead to survive. This is dangerous for all teams in the vicinity above them, which includes Braintree. With just six points between the two sides, a home win would really begin to pile the pressure on the Essex part-timers. An away win would stop the York revolution from gathering more speed.

We're down so it doesn't matter.

Sutton have the worst away form in the division with just two wins.
This was interesting though. I wasn't aware of that. Should pick up their third win on Saturday.

The form book goes out of the window during local derbies. Wrexham dealt a hammer blow to our play off hopes last year, let's hope they can't repeat their spoilsport antics on Saturday!

This looks like one of the most exciting end of seasons at the top and bottom of the league in ages. Lincoln and Tranmere is a pretty tight fight for the title, there is a 5 way battle for 2 play off spots and it looks like a 6 way battle to avoid 2 relegation places.

10 of those games have a lot riding on them. Unfortunately I'll be at one of the two which doesn't.

From what people here say, Barrow are a horrible lot so will probably turn us over. Win here would be a huge one though.

If we somehow win on Saturday then the worst case scenario is being 3 points and 2 places clear of the drop with 2 games in hand, only 15 points left available for our rivals and only one space left to avoid. I'd like our chances then and that's the worst possible outcome if we win.

Wrexham will no doubt try and raise their game but we should have to quality to brush them aside. You'd expect Lincoln to win too, but if we have won the early kick off who knows. Another fascinating weekend.

Before we play on Tuesday against Sutton we could be anything from 3 pts clear with equal games played (Lincoln) to 6 points behind.

Why is Lincoln v Dagenham on Monday? Seems a bit unfair on both teams. Mourinho/Wenger would blow their nut over that sort of scheduling.

The Lincoln players are completely burnt out as it is.

We’re not actually doing too bad on the road, three wins since our last home one.

However, Barrow typically left their mark on a few of ours and we already have enough out anyway. Hopefully we’ll have Hughes back though, who was protected and left out for his own good last night.

This was interesting though. I wasn't aware of that. Should pick up their third win on Saturday.

Our away form has picked up slightly since Arsenal in that we've won 1 and drawn 2 away games whilst only losing 1.

Of course Saturday is a chance to put a nail in Woking's coffin and reaffirm the return to the natural order in Surrey

Yeah he'll definitely do it, won't he.

Having officially said I'll do it, I've got to. I'll post a picture on here by Wednesday at the latest.

If I don't I'll lose all credibility and wont be able to post on here ever again.

How plastic is your plastic pitch? We always seem to struggle on them. Our team has given a lot in recent games - I've also read somewhere that we will be the only side to play three away games on the bounce this season (no idea if that's true). There's no way we will be taking nine points from three away games, but I reckon a draw would be a good result. Maidstone were dreadful at our place, but looks like you've found a bit of form.

With so much riding on the Dover V Gateshead match there is a possibility of a three figure crowd packed into Crabble

Community day-tickets been given to schools. Last year attendance was 3000

We should have enough to win - any other result is a serious disappointment.

Wonder if Wrexham will actually get off their arses and do something noteworthy this season on Saturday. One suspects not but you never know.

Could be waiting a while seeing as the keeper hasn't played for ages and the centre back left last week. People who think we'll be 'up for it' are kidding themselves by the way. The season is long since over, the players have downed tools and 90% won't be here next season and know it. There'll just be a bit more crowd moaning than usual when we concede because it's Tranmere. It's a bit meaningless anyway seeing as there's not been a proper rivalry in the best part of 15 years since those Division 2 days, it died when we went in opposite directions. I'm meh about it, Tranmere or Lincoln winning the league is good for you know what.

If they want to win the league then Lincoln should probably start winning games again rather than hoping for other teams to help them out.

We've only won one game against a team in the top third all season so I wouldn't hold my breathe.

Can't see us getting anything on Saturday. Guiseley and York have very winnable games. Squeaky bum time :dk:

I'm a bit worried about Saturday, think its too much to ask for you to lose 3 home games in 7 days. Was really hoping you were going to win on Tuesday night.

For us, its a must win. First of 6 cup finals!

I'm taking inspiration that you did lose against Guiseley a few weeks ago, but it would have to be a massive change from Tuesday, which was the worst I've seen us since we've been in this league.

So do Maidstone funnily enough. Up until recently we had more points away than at home. The pitch seems to favour good passing football.

How plastic is it? About as plastic as a very plastic thing waving a plastic banner saying look at me, I'm plastic. Honestly, you don't notice it after a little while. I was watching rugby league highlights the other day and suddenly realised they were doing all those crunching tackles on 3G.
