After Tuesday's emotional rollercoaster, in which Russell Slade drew his 'must-win' game, said goodbye to the fans, went to see the President who was 'not too pleased', only to return from said meeting with President to inform the long suffering fans that he 'would be in charge for Saturday's game.' What a night!

Scunthorpe have won 2 and lost 2 of their last 4 home games and currently sit 21st in League one, boasting the worst goal difference in the league. Tuesday night gave them only their second win of the season against Coventry, which manager Russ Wilcox will hope heralds the start of a better run of results.

The O's still have injury concerns over Kevin Lisbie, Gary Sawyer and playmaker Lloyd James. After an improved display on Tuesday night at Notts County, Russell Slade may be tempted to keep the same team going into Saturday's game. However, Dean Cox, Mathieu Baudry, Darius Henderson and Jay Simpson will all be pushing for starts.

With pressure of the axe still looming over Slade's head there will be no hiding again this weekend and he will be looking for strong characters on the pitch. With this in mind I expect Slade to trust in the players he knows well, therefore only making one change in bringing back Cox for either Petrasso or MacAnuff. I believe that the team is crying out for the pace of either Shaun Batt or Jay Simpson, however, Slade's reluctance to play either man suggests he currently feels more confident with other members of the squad. With rumours of ex Rangers manager Paul le Guen being spotted at the last couple of games is it simply a matter of time before the inevitable happens? I, for one, certainly hope not.

Scunthorpe United host Leyton Orient in a match where both teams will be looking for a morale-boosting win.
Having beaten Coventry in midweek Scunthorpe manager Russ Wilcox will be aiming for 3 points. There is never a good time to be in the relegation zone and he is well aware regular defeats could leave them rooted there.
Lyle Taylor is expected to continue his partnership with Paddy Madden in attack after scoring the Iron’s winner on Tuesday night. Eddie Nolan and Neil Bishop are likely to be named on the bench after recovering from thigh and foot injuries respectively.

Leyton Orient are unbeaten away from home in all competitions but there's an urgency among the camp that these draws must turn into wins, especially after dropping 2 points to Notts County. After much late night controversy on Tuesday we know for sure Russell Slade remains manager and he does still have a few injury problems to deal with.
Lloyd James (thigh) has returned to full training and Gary Sawyer (tendonitis) is also making good progress, which could see the pair included in the O’s matchday squad this weekend but Kevin Lisbie still remains out

Gary Woods is set to continue in goal for the O’s as Adam Legzdins recovers from a finger injury and Russell Slade will also have to decide who to partner in defence following Shane Lowry’s impressive performance against Notts County. Shaun Batt's return to fitness could put him in the startin XI but dropping David Mooney is something which doesn't come too easily for Mr Slade, for whatever reason.

Orient are bookies favourites for this and urm, yh
Come On You O's
probably be 1-2 or 1-3 ,

Its win or bust today for slade, which I think is ludicrous! How can a he joint manager of the year to become close to sack in less then 10 games of the new season, with change to the board and players coming in late and unfit, he has had little time to get the new players to gel which takes time no matter who is in charge of the team. We just need a bit of time, apart from last season, under slade we have started slow and finished strongly. Us fans just need to give him some support like we always have and let the board know we want to keep slade. I am going for a scrappy 1-0 win, to be honest I will just take a win, not bothered how it comes, hopefully mooney scores as when he plays well, we play well
Come on you O's

Good win for the Orient against a pretty average Scunthorpe side. Slade buying himself some time now? Wonder if that will help the players pull together and set Orient off on a good long run. Here's hoping, don't mind the orient at all - London Walsall.
