I have cleared my cache and that still hasnt worked. I am a little reluctant to alter my router as that could cause problems.

I am also on Sky.

Fair enough, you wouldn't need to alter it - just turn it off at the wall and back on again, it's like doing the same with TV.

Oh yes I know but my Internet Connection can be up and down after turning on or off the router! I live in the sticks. Haha.

Sadly it's become clear that this has been most likely caused by the DNS being improperly configured server side. We're working with the hosts to resolve the issues and realise how frustrating it is for many members to allow be able to access via a temporary URL. As soon as we have updates, you'll have updates.

If you know how to, can you please open command prompt on your windows PC and type the following command, before hitting enter: ping onefootballforum.co.uk

Let me know the IP address is states.

If you're not sure how to do the above, don't worry about it.

TB
I'm getting the following IP for the proper url at the moment
77.247.178.109

I can ping the smeg out of it if you want me to :D

That's exactly the same IP (77.247.178.109) I'm getting and a quick Google yields unpleasant results.
The IP doesn't relate to neither our old nor new server. And is where the problem lies.

Host has made slight alterations to our DNS and it seems traffic is rising steadily. If you didn't have access but have managed to access in the last few minutes, please post here.

I just typed www.onefootballforum.co.uk and it comes up with an extra ww9 before the original URL, is it because I live in NZ and the carrier pigeon hasn't reached here yet?!! ;)

Update 22:30 hours 06th August 2015

I'm delighted to confirm that the DNS configuration has now been resolved IN FULL.

Easiest explanation to make sure everybodys in the know - if the site isn't resolving for you right now, it will be within 12 hours. Realistly, it could come through anytime now but 12hr is roughly the longest you're going to have to wait.

I appreciate the above announcement probably sounds similar to what we've been saying over the last two days but this time we have identified the DNS issue, confirmed that was the source of the issue, and fixed it.

You'll all be back with us within 12 hours, the overwhelming majority will be with us within an hour or two.

TB with the dodgy sites/hacking business that the IP is linked with should we change passwords?

Blade, I'm pleased to be able to confirm now with complete confidence that no security risks were posed to members and this was a result of a DNS oversight as opposed to anything malicious. Users can be safe in the knowledge that no web files were compromised and I can also confirm I have run virus scans on my PC from 3 different providers (in sade mode and typical) with zero flags raised.

I fully appreciate the concern and it's a valid question but I can assure you there is no risk to end users. It's a relief to confirm this!

Great news, cheers for hanging round long enough to find out. Credit to the overwhelming majority of you who haven't pissed and moaned. The last 48 hours has been stressful as I was facing an issue which I didnt have an answer too. Shout out has to go to AFCB_Mark who identified the issue, aswell.

Final point, to those who have experienced issues in the last few hours, dont panic if things go from working to not working for you guys over the next few hours. I can't promise it will remain seemless in the very short term (DNS can be a temperamental beast with changes at times) but I am now certain that within 12 hours if not before the issue will not resurface ever again.
