Mate, your Leeds team is hardly 'known' barring the decent kids.
It's not a negative! I'm just saying I've no idea who half of them are. Not saying ours is that familiar but better than last year, bringing in some British players who won't need to adapt to the game.

I know and it wasn't a dig, just remember you lot last season with the Italians, we've got a core of British players in the squad, only Lopez, Lachman and Matias need to adapt.

Yeah it was a naive approach last year. The balance is better this time. I reckon there's a decent chance we'll both be top half this year. Fingers crossed anyway!

Halford and Buxton the other way around?

Decent team that, relies a little on Derbyshire continuing his post Christmas form

Nope, a fully fit Buxton is one of the best RBs in this division.

Not for me. He's struggling again with injuries, and Richardson never lets us down. Solid and dependable at this level. We know Richardson is a proven performer, it's the unknown going with Buxton, but all new signings are like that really.

We only have 22/23 in the Squad at the moment. Another couple and we are ready to go. I'd like a right hand side Midfielder & a Striker to challenge Derbyshire.

Now McEachran has joined, think we'll line up like this at the moment

------------------------------- Button -------------------------------
Odubajo -------- Tarkowski -------- Bjelland -------- Bidwell
------------- Diagouraga ------------- McEachran -------------
Jota ------------------------ Judge ------------------------ Dallas
-------------------------------- Gray --------------------------------

The only players who might get bumped depending on signings would be Dallas or Gray, but I'd imagine this would be our starting line up for the first game.

I like that line up.
If you avoid injuries and/or get some more depth I can see Brentord having another good season.

If we was going to kick off tomorrow, I would expect to see:

Carson; Christie, Keogh, Pearce, Forsyth; Thorne, Hughes; Weimann, Martin, Ince; Bent.

In a 4-4-2, type 4-2-3-1 hybrid.

Grant, Shotton, Buxton, Baird, Hendrick, Bryson and Russell on the bench.

If we can get someone top quality to replace Dallas (love him, but I think we can do a bit better) and a decent back up to Gray, then I think we'll have a shot at a very very good season.

If we don't sign any strikers then we're a bit screwed as we've only got the one...

Frazer Richardson? Awful.

Is that Joe Lolley you've got CM? I thought he was a striker.

No one really knows his best position but he's not a striker. Advanced midfielder maybe but we now also have Kyle Dempsey who I really like the sound of.

Also

Smithies
Smith Lynch Hudson Davidson
Butterfield Hogg Coady
Scannell Vaughan Wells

Not expecting many changes to that if any at all! New CB most likely. And maybe harsh on Whitehead.

Ignore me.
It has already changed and probably will do again...

If it starts tomorrow, we have a good team.

Green (GK)
Furlong (need a new right back) Onouha (CB Capt) Caulker (CB) Yun (LB)
Gladwin (DM)
Luongo (CM) Fer(CM)
Phillips (RW) Chery (LF)
Austin (CF)

But, I expect Phillips, Fer and Austin to go.

Not sure myself, but I've seen a few people stating that Gladwin is more of an attacking midfielder? If so, I'd go with your team but probably switch Henry with either him or Luongo.

Played a holding role at Swindon last year.

I wasnt sure either, so I basically looked at who scored less and put him as holding. I should be a manager.

The only players I think are guaranteed to start against Bolton at the minute: Forsyth, Thorne, Hughes, Ince and Martin.

The system is still up for debate, but I'd not be shocked to see Martin and Bent upfront with Ince behind. However, Weimann and Russell have been playing well.

It's hard to say at the moment, but it's a very positive headache for Clement to have.

That Digouraga is so underrated. Surprised a bigger club haven't gone for him.

Never got a chance with us bit looked a good prospect in the reserves/youth team.

And that was when we had to rely on youngsters.

He looked to be on the way out last summer. We'd loaned him to Portsmouth in League 2 in our promotion season from League 1, and he wasn't doing particularly well there. Spent most of the summer trying to sell him to Coventry, but he said he didn't want to go. Didn't play for a few weeks, then came on 6-7 games into the season and was an absolute rock. Won most of our Player of the Year awards, and now one of the first names on the team sheet.

Don't you have Christie? Surely him ahead of Chris Baird?!

I hope to never see him play for us again. Woeful from November onwards.

I expect we'll see a right back come in, rather than go with Baird. Getting Wisdom back would be ideal.

Yeah I was gonna say, if Derby are going to continue with the sort of formation (as above) that relies on wing-backs, you'd be wanting someone a bit more athletic and attack-minded than Baird running up that flank.
