The return fixture at the NYS is going to be fun. Maybe both clubs should chip in and hire an elephant and a travelling troupe of trapeze artists, as well.

Surprised the Bournemouth players didn't just laugh at him.

He is a massive tool, absolutely cringefest every time I hear him trying to justify why he team haven't won on Radio Sheffield. Just accept sometimes, you were beaten by a better side and accept that not everything is against you and there is no conspiracy working against you. Seems to be moaning about this and that at every opportunity - is he under any pressure at all yet? Spent a lot (I think?) and seemingly in a relegation battle..

Some people are of the belief that the championship is the promised land so we can't complain. He is under pressure from some quarters though. It's not even as simple as him having spent a lot and it not worked, it's the manner in which he's done it - we've had over 20 new players this year and the team is weaker. I also like my managers with a bit of straight talking honesty about why we've lost games. Bournemouth are better than us but in addition he's setting us up wrong and he fails to see that a team of new players who don't really know each other is never likely to work. He admits neither of those things.

20 new players?!?
How much of your promoted team is left?

Many of the 20 (or so) have been loans so not all at once, but the problem is it's like a revolving door. Many of our promotion team are still with us and better. Adam Collin is still in goal. We would have liked to sign Tavernier who was a big part last season but missed out, but the central defence has stayed the same and I still think Skarz (still with us but out of favour) is as good as the swaps and changes we've brought in. We still have Frecklington and Smallwood (now permanent) in the middle (although Frecks is now injured) but even when both available Evans has often favoured other partnerships that don't work as well for me. Agard has never been replaced and Revs was almost ever present until we sold him. The new players have largely been wasted money and have acted only to unsettle the team because Evans swaps and changes so much. We should have strengthened key areas.

Evans is a total cock, Rotherham fans must get fed up of him talking rubbish after nearly every game.

I heard he was moaning about too much injury time being played ...

Well that time given is only a "minimum" period...

To be fair he has a point about first half injury time. It's a minimum to be added to where there is further stoppage, not where there's no reason for it to be added to. We were well over a minute of further play without further stoppage to cover the extension by the time they scored. Not the point though is it. The ref was appalling but it only adds to the frustration it certainly isn't the cause of it. You play to the bloody whistle, they should have had 3 before then, we wouldn't have scored if we'd played all week, etc etc.

He was angry that our goal was scored too deep into injury time beyond the time given? It was a set piece with everyone crowding into the box, takes a bit of time to sort all that out before play re-starts. Perhaps he was also angry about the free kick as it was given? Not really sure.

He got lucky with the disallowed Callum Wilson goal, which I thought was odd at the time, but having seen the highlights since looks even more bizarre. Thankfully it didn't matter.

Evans needs to look at himself. The squad on paper there contains some half decent players who are capable of playing better football than he has them playing. And if he stuck with the same side for a few weeks instead of signing someone every few days, then the players might be able to figure out some patterns of play instead of looking like the team shape and lineup is picked out of a hat.

Fair point made by MA but as a general rule its a bit annoying when players and managers fail to understand that point.

Mind you thesedays its never the fault of the person themselves.

Evans was angry at the extra minute played at the end of the first half and was right to be angry at the piss poor red.

As for this signed 20+ argument, granted we've gone through some loan signings but seen as we lost 12/13 in the summer and their replacements haven't been up to scratch (partly down to Evans and limits on budget) they've been necessities and we still need a striker at least in this window. Once Hammoll, Ward and Barmby get upto speed they'll cause teams some right problems before the end of the season.

TBF to Steve Evans I was fuming as much as he was, I wanted to dismember the referee with a blunt knife.
The goal was scored according to Sky at 45 +3 and 1 minute was held up by the 4th official.
It wasn't a foul either so a complete half's worth of hard work was destroyed by this dick head.

He has calmed down quite a lot since he arrived though it's fair to say he needs to work on his humility a little, still he did have due cause yesterday.

Bournemouth are the best side to come to NYS so far, they destroyed us in the cup 2 weeks ago so it was a tall order to get something out of this game. We needed a break not the other way round so for the Ref to gift them a goal was hard to take.

To say we had so many new players I thought we did alright, the second goal should have been cleared by Arnie or Collin but Wilson was on it like a flash.

I'm not saying that Bournemouth weren't the better team because they clearly were and I really hope they get promotion.
They do fall over very easily though.....

I'm a bit confused here. I thought Agard and Tavernier were 'Traitors'? But they are both in your avatar???????????????????
Never said it about Tavernier, didn't have an issue with him, Agard is still scum but this was the first rotherham related picture I could find.
