Well i wouldnt start counting yet then. Despite Bees fans and Management complaining they put in a season worst performance and have gone to shit at the back, they still looked one if the best sides in the League the other night.

Keep the ball well and move it around quickly and create a lot of possibilities. Only criticism is they perhaps get overly fancy in the last third rather than getting more shots off, but still looked a top top side in this League. Keeper starts a lot if it as his ball playing, control, composure, passing and distribution was outstanding. Just about every time he got the ball he started something for them

I understand far more about English football, I watch it every week and have done for 30 odd years.

Perhaps if you made points we could understand then I'd be able to offer a fair and constructive coherent counter argument.

Hello,

News about Football Championship? As you predicted BFC have some Attack issues without Neal maupay and on the pitch It seems that Will reach maybe 10-12 Place in a League.

After 30 years where you had saw the english football you are a very Expert fan :)

I will admit I was wrong, they've adapted well and deserve to be up the top end of the table.

They still won't go up and will sell again and you'll still be a c***.

I don’t have much of a problem with Brentford really but Christ it’ll be fucking hysterical if they win all their remaining games, still finish third, and blow it in the play offs.

If BFC wins tonight against SCFC West Brom can go wrong (Gotta make a joke here, sorry) in the Play-offs.

Well this aged well...

Pressure can do strange things to a team. This was the first time you've had any pressure on you and you completely bottled it. Still not over yet obviously but assuming you're consigned to the Play-Offs, I'm interested to see how you cope.

We had pressure for weeks (PNE-Bees 0-1)and Stoke has a good squad for the Championship. Brentford lives of supporters, Stoke of ££.

Chasing the top 2 is a different pressure to actually being in control of your own destiny. This was the first opportunity you had to be in the top 2 and you blew it. I don't know enough about Brentford to comment fairly but having watched the game, your players looked terrified. Benrahma is clearly hugely talented but based on today I wouldn't spend £35k on him let alone £35m.

Pressure is never good. Liverpool dindt win the PL in 2018/19 because of pressure. Same with Leeds last season. Pressure and football dont go good togheter. The players have been working hard this season. You cant give them too much pressure after ranking above their expected position (8th-12th).

Sadly football is all about pressure. I agree, Brentford have had a remarkable season but any player or team who can’t handle pressure will never be successful.

We failed in defence (pressure to keep a clean sheet.) Attack was totally fine, but Stokes defence (espacially Butland) perfomed outstanding. People are overestimating our squad, give them pressure and we fail. It still was an amazing season for our attack.

Butland didn’t play - our defence was pretty good Stoke had very little. I thought we were pretty poor offensively, didn’t create much at all. Brilliant season for us, too many 1-0 defeats to teams with only 1 or 2 shots on target, a lot of that is bad luck (the Birmingham game will haunt me forever) but also we struggle to break teams down when they score and drop deep.

We created some chances that could have gone if Stokes defence wanst as good as on saturday.
I think we should put more pressure on our half of the pitch. Stoke was not attacking, they put pressure and we lost.

Congrats mate. Well deserved, best team in the league, though I’d like to think we’re 2nd best.

Benrahma will definitely go, as he was promised he could go last year if we didn’t go up, but he’ll go to a bigger team I’d assume, and for more cash than you’d likely be willing / able to pay.

Watkins, who knows to be honest. We’ll probably try to keep him for another year. I guess it depends how good an offer we get. No need to sell him on the cheap and we’re in a much better position to keep players than we’ve ever been.

Looks like the pressure really told for Brentford in the end, and now you go into the play-offs off the back of 2 poor defeats in a row. That's going to be a big psychological blow to have to overcome, but I still hope they manage it as it would be far more interesting than seeing either Fulham or Cardiff make an immediate return to the Prem.

Well done Tykes, Brentford must be sick of South Yorkshire spoiling promotion parties

Gutted. No chance we make it past Swansea on our relative forms at the moment.

Christ, ironically Leeds are the only team not falling apart.

Cardiff in the play offs I reckon. Brentford have completely bottled it.

It will happen. BFC wil win the play-offs. Or Fulham but CCFC has no chance. Same for Swansea

Hoping Fulham win this one.

Brentford will get pillaged if they lose and surely they're due a few duff signings, whereas Fulham have parachute cash and will probably come back stronger.

Not been a hugely entertaining game but Brentford looked really poor so far I think. None of there “big names” really got going at all and absolutely butchering some counter attacking opportunities with slow ponderous play on the ball. Just don’t look sharp at all. Looked so incisive against Swansea The other week but seem to not have it so far.

Brentford to replace Leeds as the biggest bottlers in the Football League? Absolutely fucking woeful tonight.

Oh wait, Nottingham Forest.

Awful from Brentford yet again in a huge game, and you have to wonder just how much of that squad will be taken apart before the new season and how well they'll come back from that. At the very least, I don't expect Brentford will be as threatening next season as Fulham would have been if they had stayed down again.

For all the hype Benrahma gets, i've never seen him have a good game.

Would happily take Watkins, Norgaard & Henry over him.

Kind of ironic that Bryan and Parker both stated, or at least heavily implied, in there interviews that there analysts picked up on Raya coming off his line a lot and targeted doing something like that at a set piece. With all the stuff that gets spoken about Brentford and smart analysis and use of data they kind of got beaten at there own game there.

Brentford are going to get picked apart now but should have plenty of money to reinvest. Still think the will be strong next season.

Can't see them being as strong if Ivan Toney is the direct replacement for Watkins.

Don’t you rate him then? Scored a lot of goals for Peterborough, seems like he’d be a good fit. MacAnthony will ask for silly money though probably

Sadly thomas frank talked too much before the games and he did the team talk for alot of his opposition at the end including tonight judging by what tom Cairney said

Who knows maybe he will learn to be more humble next season
