Saturday will see Boundary Park host a huge relegation six pointer, as well as a 'Greater Manchester' (Lancashire) Derby.

Both clubs come into the game with pretty much identical form, with both picking up form after recent managerial appointments. Both clubs are separated by just one point. Lots in common.

Bury lost their last game 2-1 at home against Gillingham, whilst 9 man Oldham went down 2-0 at Walsall.

I really don't fancy us here even though our recent record at Boundary Park is perfect. We have no width, key players out, don't do big games etc etc... or will Lee Clark have the players fired up? Who knows.

My prediction: A tame 3-0 defeat and relegation written on the wall.

Also, it seems Oldham/GMP want to discourage as many away fans to travel as possible.. all ticket if it stays cuts off at Friday 3pm (stupid, people work 9-5), or if all ticket is taken off, it's a £4 price increase on the day... Rock and a hard place.

TBF our defence has improved hugely since the Walsall/Shrewsbury debacles. However missing Kay for the last two games made a difference as he had looked good alongside Barnett and Burgess, I think if he'd played last weekend we'd have probably got a point.

Alas tomorrow will be tough, very tough. Gills ain't great at the back but once they got themselves in front last week we really struggled to break them down, thus I really worry as to what Oldham will be like if they get their noses in front. However if Vaughan is fit he will always be a huge threat.
There is the side issue that we have won our last three fixtures at BP, they are due a result over us at home surely. However one could argue we have never beaten them at Gigg Lane since our relegation in 1999 with four draws (one including a last gasp equaliser for Biffo at Gigg Lane) and two away wins so maybe the trend will continue.

My prediction is a very, very tense 1-1 draw.

Swindon vs Port Vale play as well so perhaps a draw or a home win won't do us any harm there.

Being overrun in midfield with caddis running the show. Desperately missing Wilson at left back reckford and Taylor being completely overrun. Changes needed if we are to get owt

Much better second half but never threatened. 0 0 was prob fair but Ripley again pulled off some saves to save us especially near the end with gerrards blunder when he saved with his feet, and the one in the first half
