We welcome our less fortunate neighbours to Gigg Lane on Saturday for what is surely the highest placed Bury v Dale match ever?

Anyway we are without Tutte, Etuhu and Hussey which are all big losses but Dale have injures of their own and have been inconsistent of late..

I'll stick my neck out and say 2-1 win with a 6,500 crowd

Buryani 4 - 6 Rochdhal in a spicy tie that doesn't need extra chillies.

Scorers - Cameron (4) for Shakira (may actually convince Sir Keef to abandon zonal defending from set pieces.
Mendiez-Laing (6) for Dick Dale and the Deltones. St Petersbog will therefore buy him back for 2, 000, 000 in Jan....

Think we will lose today 3-1 or 3-2, would love to be proved wrong of course, but our defence is a shambles at the moment. We are scoring enough to win games but the defence really is shocking. We dominated the game last week at Sheffield United and with even a half decent defence would have walked away with 3 points.

Big fat 0–0. Good value 0–0. 0–0 all over it etc etc.

Ultimately it's us that could of should of won it. We had several free kicks from wide in the second half. Always hard to get right with diving headers/confusing the defence/isolating the keeper, as it proved. Rochdale seemed to be left vulnerable following their attacks but not fatally so. The first half opportunity was those two/three scrambled attempts from up close. Good pace, Mayor my man of the match, decent enough battle but ultimately a deadlock between two similar sides with similar managers. Nice to see this derby played between high calibre teams in front of 6,500.
