Ok, now that we know who's going to France, the build up can start.

Qualified teams:

Pot One:
France, Spain, Germany, England, Portugal, Belgium
Pot Two: Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, Ukraine
Pot Three: Czech Rep, Sweden, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary
Pot Four: Turkey, Rep Ireland, Iceland, Wales, Albania, Northern Ireland

I must say, when they announced that they were increasing the size of the tournament I was concerned that it would ruin the spectacle, but with the likes of Wales and Northern Ireland making it through it's going to make it a bit more interesting for me.

As for England, I'd be quite happy with a group containing Switzerland, Hungary and Albania. Don't really fancy coming up against Italy or Austria in pot two.

Yeah Italy, no thanks. Ibrahimovich and Lewandowski lurking menacingly in Pot 3, too. One of two Irelands or Wales would be nice from Pot 4. Iceland are the worst of that lot.

I'd like to avoid Wales / Ireland in the draw personally. Not that I fear them, but they'd obviously be well pumped up for a match against England. Give me Iceland or Albania anyday.

I have tickets for C2 vs C4 on the 16th June, so hoping for Italy vs Ireland, N Ireland or Wales.

Iceland aren't better than England but I'd argue they have what it takes to beat them.

UEFA has unbalanced the EURO 2016. Group E has a significantly lower chance of reaching the finals than the teams from group A. The mathemathicians of UEFA really didn't think this one through..

I'll be there because I live there but I won't risk 100€ on Switzerland/Albania in Bordeaux.

Or something like that.

Yeah I'm looking to go. Not really arsed about getting tickets, I'll be happy just watching 2/3 games in one of the fanzones.

Just did the simulated draw and Northern Ireland got a group of Portugal, Austria and Romania. I'd probably take that, even if Austria are a better side now than they've been for a long time.

How is the tournament actually going to work? Is it best 3rd place finishers making it through? If so, you've got a very good chance if you can collect 4 points, I'd have thought?

Off the top of my head it's 6 groups of 4.

To make a last 16, they'll need 6 group winners and runners up leaving 4 spots. So the best 4 3rd placed teams whilst the other two 3rd placed sides miss out I think?

I imagine 4 points would get you through. There's bound to be a group or two where 3rd place only beats 4th and gets nothing in the other two matches.

I'm going - almost guaranteed tickets for England games and got tickets for a group game in St Etienne on 14th and one in Nice on 19th too in the UEFA ballot - looking forward to a couple of weeks out there at least.

I have tickets to F2 v F3 at the Stade de France, thinking Italy v Sweden would be my best outcome. I'm also in Paris the night before when D1 D4 and C1 C4 are playing, so would be awesome to see an England game in the fan park at Champ de Mars, or if not another home nation.

We had a debate with friends last night and came to the conclusion that all foreigners should give up their tickets to French citizens.

We all agreed it was a wonderful idea.

Wales in England's group. Some idiot on BBC says Wales have never beaten England in a competitive game.

Happy with that. Bored of playing the same old teams in qualifying. Wales/England will get a real bit of excitement and passion going into that tournament. Whoever wins that will be riding a wave and we normally stumble through boring matches so it could well be a good thing for a change.

I think we can definitely manage second or third in that group.

What an utterly boring group we got. Actually Romania won't be that easy to beat.

Our games against the Swiss are generally very boring. That's the opening game I think. Reckon I'll do like all the sensible peeps and invest the fan zones when England are playing. Should be more exciting that attending some games on show.

Reckon Austria will win their group.

Ireland with another tough group at the euros. It'll be labelled as the 'death group'..... I don't think it's that bad, we could get a result against Italy and Sweden. We'll have done very well if we do get through.

Normally I bemoan boring groups but I actually think it's a good thing for you since you've not had any competitive games for 2 years. Ease your way into the tournament.
