Probably a good idea to create, massive community and sure there is a fair few of us playing them here. Any general discussion really, what game, champions/heroes what ever you call them and stuff you're up to etc

Recently got back into LoL after a hiatus and building myself up to level 30, currently 21 but making quick progress. Love using Kennen and Caitlyn at the moment, huge majority of games I go positive with them with last being a 8/2/4 on Caitlyn, nothing special but certainly a good base to carry building upon.

I am in no way surprised to hear that Cas plays Heroes of the Storm.

(I've played it too. ETC and Valla are my guys.)

I tend to use Sylvanas and Muradin. Both fun. I'm rubbish with ETC :(

ETC is all about powersliding in behind the fuckers, then as soon as the stun wears off you use the face melt to push them back. Nobody gets out of that alive.

Plus havin a giant guitar axe is always a good thing.

From the limited amount of MOBA games I have played, everybody seems to be talking absolute gibberish most of the time on the game. Honestly, when people come out with shit like that I just reply with my own bollocks and pretend that it's stuff that they don't know about. I can talk bullshit too.

Been playing HotS pretty much every night since open Beta, love it, so much more fun and less stressful than lol.

Still like lol but hardly played it since season 3, though still watch LCS most weeks.

Mainly playing Warriors and supports in HotS, mostly Anub'arak, Johanna and Rehgar

Used to play Dota 2, put about 400 hours into it, loved it but avent had the time to play it at all in the last 6 months as i have been busy making a baby.

Silencer is my main man.

I've sunk far too many hours into LoL although I've stopped playing as much recently. I only really play ranked but I tilt too easily so never get anywhere, I tend to yoyo from Gold 5 to Gold 1 a lot. Confident I could reach high Plat but I don't have the motivation to sink the time into it. I'll main a champ for a while and get extremely good at them and climb a lot before I get bored, play something new and drop again. Fizz, Akali and Evelynn were probably my best picks at my peak.

I'll still watch LCS every week whenever I'm not playing, looking to get tickets for the world championship final in Berlin but the group stage and the quarters both sold out in 20minutes so I'm getting a bit worried about my chances.

Dota 2 was the first MOBA I discovered, didn't play but I watched The International back when Na'Vi were the top boys. Big Dendi and Puppey fan. I was actually a big fan of Dawngate before that went under. I also rate HotS, looking to put more time into that when I can.

Well getting tickets for the final was a complete farce so I've taken the risk of paying a stupid amount for tickets on viagogo. Buying scalped tickets can be a bit of a disaster so I'm praying it all goes okay and I get them in time. Planning to go over to Berlin for 4 or 5 nights, pretty excited for it. I just hope the final is worth it as the past two have been incredibly one sided. Something like SKT v EDG would be awesome, would be a great privilege to see Faker in the flesh.

If anyone is interested then we could always do a game together on whatever game people play, would be quite good having different people from here play :) I'm not great, but we could just play games from time to time. What would people think?

Anyone been watching the International?

Into game 3 of the final right now, but I'm starting to flag and so probably have to watch the rest on vods tomorrow. But $18m prize pool and $6.5m to the winners is crazy money for esports and shows how far esports has come in the last few years.

Usually watch it every year but just moved house and without internet atm, caught a couple of half-games while stealing the girlfriends phone data. Was rooting for Team Secret (Puppey fan) and was surprised to see them head out so early, gonna catch up on their games when I can. Absolutely crazy prize pool but it riles me a bit when people use it as an excuse to claim that Dota > everything else. If LoL's prize pool was fan driven it would be $50mil at least. It's a bit silly.

I'd be down for playing a few games once my broadband gets here, holding out for Virgin but my street isn't serviced so having to wait. They told me it would be last Tuesday, still waiting.

So I got to ranked and got placed in Silver III after a placement of 5-5, don't think I'll last too long and current skill would say is low silver possibly, but it's a nice start.

Elmo, add evatt38 and I'll do some games with you. It's not my main account but it's closer to your ELO.

Will do at sometime, match history really isn't looking good right now though. Need a lot of work and i'll probably drop to S5/B1, i know what i need to improve but it's putting that into practice.

I placed in bronze 4 about 3 seasons ago and was stuck at bronze 1 for months. I found the best thing you can do to climb up to gold is play as aggressive as you can. Play carries in every position. Mid and ADC are probably the best but top and jungle are also good, just avoid playing tanks and play a champ that is snowball heavy. At support play someone like Annie who can solo the enemy carry with a few items. You'll learn more by pushing boundaries and playing hyper aggressive and you'll have more of an impact and be able to dictate the game by snowballing. You'll die and lose lane at first by playing carries non stop but you get better quicker in my opinion as you learn to outplay and carry the game. If you're playing tanks or utility supports then you're having to rely on team mates to step up and do the damage which at bronze / silver doesn't happen much.

When you hit gold you start to notice the difference in skill. You do find some very good players in silver but while they might know how to play their champ well, they don't really know how to win the game. That's a bridge to cross when you come to it though. Once you can start to consistently win lane and translate that into other lanes and objectives, you'll climb pretty quickly. You could easily hit gold by the time the season ends!

I should finally have broadband sorted next week so I plan on grinding non stop to Plat after a few months away. I'm seeing Gangplank as permaban and Morde ADC. I'm already confused.

Morde ADC is a joke at the moment. Skarner, Morde and Gangplank are currently insta bans.

BTW you won't drop to B1. You'll stay silver 5. Almost impssible to drop a division like that unless you don't play for weeks on end. What do you main Clarkey? Could duo if you're in gold? I'm on my gold account now.

Fair enough. I haven't been playing as much recently due to madden but I shall get back to it soon enough, so I'll have to play once I get back into the game.

And the Juggernaut update has completely changed stuff, as you say Skarner and Mordr are insta bans, not seen GP banned all the time though. Garen is horrible to play against too now.

I've never really had a main role, my attention span isn't the longest so I usually just fill to mix it up a bit. Given the choice I'd probably main mid, I'm a big fan of Fizz and Kassadin. ADC is my favourite role but I'm too inconsistent, if I'm tilting or just not playing well I go top. Jungle is okay if you're thick skinned, there's no better feeling than smite stealing baron but if you're the one who mis-smited it's dreadful. I really enjoy support but it winds me up if the ADC doesn't follow up or do as I'd like so it's another role I try to avoid.

So yeah, I generally fill but I prefer Mid > ADC > Top > Support / Jungle. Like 80% of players I'd imagine. I'm hoping to be back on at the weekend. I'll probably spam normals / dominion for a few hours to get a proper feel for it again. Could put a team together for a bit of fun, Ranked 3s or even 5s if there's anyone else who plays.

No stopping SKT and Faker but good to see two European teams in the top 4 and the NA teams failing again.

Huge fan of the electronic crack that is Dota 2. I play other games too with my spare time but allways come back to Dota for a few games. Reckon I've got about 900 hours logged on that game now, which is really low compared with some of higher level guys. The only issue is it's most definitely a practice game, in the same vein as SC2, and II don't get as much gaming time these days

Managed to go to the final. Good experience, not absolutely amazing due to the crowd being flat barring game 3 but would love to go again. Faker is simply a machine, the way he just pulls out Ryze and makes it look insanely op, when it's clearly not otherwise everyone else would jump on it, is crazy. He's very modest and humble too. As long as SKT keep him, they'll keep building world championship winning teams throughout every meta.

Managed to power level to 30 and complete my ranked placements on HotS as I can't stand LoL in preseason. Got placed in rank 7. Not sure how good that is but all of my last 10 or so games have been with mostly rank 1s so I assume my mmr is pretty good. Enjoying it, maining Rehgar and Tyrael with a bit of Valla if needed.
