I wonder what role Randy Orton will have. Will he be a face when he comes back?

He will be a late return, probably as someone 'against' the Authority after his minature turn before he left.

Yeah, Orton was actually getting pretty awesome just before he disappeared. Hopefully he'll be a face again, give it another shot. There's plenty of potential there for him to be an awesome face, even though last time it was pretty shit.

While you may or may not be right on him being over (I cannot say as I don't watch) you have to remember wrestlers climb and collapse extremely quickly.

go back 1 year and you lot were clamoring at that Wyatt guy getting his push and 1 year later most of you want rid of him.

Whoa, nobody wants rid of Wyatt! He just needs a bit of focus, is all. While his promos were great at first, now I often find myself listening to him speak for 5 or so minutes... and while it all sounds awesome and is delivered brilliantly, you realise that you haven't actually got a clue about what the fuck point he was supposed to be making.

wouldn't it be really funny if the royal rumble was won by roy mysterio

Quiet you. You aren't welcome in these parts PATRICK.

Yes, I remember your awesome name.

I hope it's not against Show or Kane :(

Just a small point on this whole "Bryan or riot" thing, the contexts of the two Rumbles are completely different.

The reason there was a large scale backlash beyond a few smarks is because there was a legitimate sentiment that Bryan was being denied a main event spot and held back on purpose, thus depriving him of the big moment in the sun he had more than earned. Well, he has had that now, I don't think him losing the Rumble this year will even begin to approach the vitriol of him not even entering last year because it's quite apparent he has made it and doesn't "need" the backlash to help elevate him, he's there now.

I am sure there will be some sort of backlash depending on who wins if he doesn't, but nowhere near approaching last year.

In a way, I hope he doesn't win, Bryan doesn't need a Rumble win, he's already massively over and will feature prominently at Wrestlemania. The Rumble should be used to help make new stars and elevate people (which was why with the context of last year it was monumentally stupid not to give it to Bryan). The problems Reigns has is this pre-conceived idea in people's heads that hes getting a rocket strapped to him thanks to the dirtsheets and you can see how it clouds peoples judgments and reaction to him online and they try to fit the pieces together week by week to fit that assumption. The reality is, he lost a WWE title four way, had a match with Orton, got injured and is now stuck fighting the Big Slow and fed God awful scripts (I'd say Rollins has been pushed more and far better than him, he stood tall over Cena AND Lesnar for Christ sake), the only indication he is winning at all is because it was in a dirtsheet and gained traction.

Tonight's the night then. Still got the overwhelming sense that Reigns is winning this. Prove me wrong, WWE.

You know what? Fuck it. I'm not going to get too depressed if Reigns wins tonight. Minsterman raises some good points, maybe it won't kill his career in terms of people hating him... and he's actually pretty fucking cool. If he wins, he wins.

The Rock is in Philly....

DON'T YOU FUCKING TEASE THIS KIND OF THING MIKE.

I'd probably die of markoutaciousing disease if he won the rumble.

The dudleys?!

I'd take them back in a heartbeat. The tag team division is strong at the moment... adding them to it would be awesome.

Also, Joey Styles has made an interesting prediction on WWE.com... Rollins to win the triple threat, and Lesnar to take somebody out, stealing their spot on the rumble and going on to win it  Not that I think they'd have let Styles blatantly predict that if it was going to actually happen... but still.

Yeah, one of the dirtsheets reported that the Dudleys would be surprise entrants this year. They are free agents at the moment....

That would be fairly awesome. Just hope they don't piss on what we have already to bring back too many older stars. Imagine the Dudley's involved in a table match this Mania..

Looking around, it seems DDP's name has been floating about as well.

Also just looking around, it looks like Justin Gabriel has been released.

"this is news that impacts my life in some way" - says no person on the planet.

Fuck yeah. Dudleys vs The Usos... that'd be gold. I sort of realised the other day that I probably like The Usos as much as I've ever liked a tag team, even from the Dudleys/Hardys/E+C era.

I MISSED YOU GUYS. :hail:

Think Reigns will win and face Brock. But this whole Rock thing makes it interesting! Confrontation with Rusev? Or could he win it?! Vince has wanted Rock v Brock for ages and could see Rock winning then Rollins cashing in.

A lot I think will depend on the WWE Title Match, once we know whose won that I think we will start to get a much bigger indication of who may win the Rumble too. If Rollins comes out with it somehow, I'd say the likelihood of a Reigns win will increase based on their pretty obvious history, if Lesnar comes out I'd think Bryan is a more obvious fit for a main event, Cena, that could be either really, then again you could make strong arguments for either, that is what makes the Rumble so much fun.

How about The Rock costing Reigns the win leading to a match at WM where Rocky puts him over making him look strong and he doesn't interfere in the title picture?

I'd dig that. They're both part of the Anoa'i family so they could play on that too.

Anyone know if the title match is last or the rumble?
I honestly don't think Rock will be in the rumble tonight.

I'd rather the rock wasn't involved at all and its left to the actual talent we already have. WWE's record of bringing back part-timers for big events tho leads me to believe he could be involved some how.
