I think De Gea is overrated. He's a good keeper but lots of his saves are quite standard.

Lloris and Courtois are both better.

I don't think there is much between the three really. I'd have De Gea, then Courtois and then Lloris. All very good keepers.

Yeah I'd agree to be honest, De Gea would be my first choice.

I think they've been memebrs of the forum(s) for a long time and each of them has displayed a complete lack of understanding about the game of football on numerous occasions during this time, and therefore I see little reason to explain to them why they are wrong, as they simply wouldn't be able to comprehend my words.

Edit: Apart from Durham, but he's like on the radio n that.

The wrong Liverpool, if any of ours. Hazard, Azpi & de Gea too.

I can justify any of my selections mate. They're all good players, but they're all hyped up beyond their ability.

Goalkeepers make mistakes, who'da thunk it :pond:At least Timothy the Brave has the excuse of returning from long term injury. Unfortunately nobody made a compliation of the 100's of times De Goatboy has made himself look a mug due to flapping at an ariel ball, or I'd have linked you that too. I'm sure you;ve seen enough examples though.

I'd say Can & Coutinho perhaps tend to be toward the more overrated end of our players! :bg:

And I'd disagree. Then we could make numerous back and forth posts stating why we disgaree at each other each time, and then eventually both lay off and come to a mutual understanding to agree to disagree. I think that covers it?

It'd certainly end with a reference to Glenn Johnson, we can both agree on that I reckon. Coutinho is a decent shout though, fair play.

From our lot... Moussa Sissoko is way over rated. I think he's the only one people rate though, right?

Sadly no-one rates Glen any more. He probably even realises he's turned shit. Skrtel's our most overrated player, no doubt.

Bottomless pit of Krul fails...

An excellent strike right in the bottom corner. Worst example of a keeper fucking up ever. I mean, it'd take less effort to find a genuine fail

That's G.B behind Tim there. I won't spell out what he's doing. We all know.

I thought everyone knew Skrtel was relatively poor now? If not I'll take him instead of Cahill :hypo:

He said he found a lump and he doesn't own a portable mirror. I was just being a good mate, I swear

He's turned into a bit of a United fan favourite (not for just his ability) but I've not seen him get much praise outside United circles?

Meeja/pundits/journalists (dear lord, those fuking journalists :bang:) love him, it's not so much the supporters. When he wasn't playing much for those 2 or 3 months, the overrating went in to overdrive. He was the answer to everything wrong with Man Yoo.

He's quite a way behind the top bracket Spanish midfielders imo. Very good player though, ofc.

Yeah that makes sense, you're much better at analysing outfield players than you are at goalkeepers.

We are a much better side with him in it though, his energy and passing keeps our tempo at a reasonable pace and he's one of our few players with the bottle to take risks.

Coutinho underrated and Henderson overrated? I think that's backwards.

I've seen some say Coutinho is in same conversation as the finest playmakers in the league. Hazard, Silva, Özil, Cesc, Cazorla, Mata, Ramsey, Eriksen, Sterling, and likely a few I'm missing are all better. Coutinho is a fine player with some highlight reel skills, but underrated isn't a term I'd use for a playmaker who is inconsistent and has been directly involved in fewer goals than the more defensive Jordan Henderson. Henderson is the most important player Liverpool have, in my opinion.

Tadic has been poor since September. If anything Tadic is overrated by those who remember what he did before he started complaining of being tired and then fell behind Mane/Elia in the squad.
Long is pure workrate, not that great with the ball, but his workrate is a valuable asset.
Bertrand, well I'm not sure how he's not walking into the England left back position after his season.
Alderweireld is one of the best centre back's in the league.

However our most underrated player is Steven Davis. Been a key player in our side since we signed him. Only his finishing let's him down, everything else is spot on.

The first two are world class keepers and its a toss of a coin who is better. They are both a step up from Lloris, who is very good, just not that class.

Statistically, Lloris is excellent actually. But he happens to play behind a crap defence and therefore faces more shots and concedes more goals. The only keepers who've faced more shots on target are Rob Green, Adrian and Tom Heaton, which goes to show just how vulnerable Spurs are at the back. Though I'd tend to agree he's probably just behind the best in terms of ability.

Looking at some keeper stats now and it appears not a single penalty has been saved this season. That can't be right, can it?

Didn't Mignolet save one a few weeks back or did I dream it.
