So yeah, losing at home to Forest is a sickener and we've slipped back out of the top two with everyone winning.

Not sure the day could have gone any worse for us.

Still, a long way to go yet, but it's so frustrating after beating Ipswich last weekend.

Day looked like it was going to go a lot better for us with Bournemouth and Middlesborough struggling, but just keeping pace with the rest of the play offs is good enough for me.

2 clean sheets in a row is also very welcome, as we haven't had too many of those this year.

A bit surprised Ipswich are still going strong to be honest. Their team on paper is packed full of solid Championship players without necessarily being anything special but McCarthy's done great. Managed to get Noel Hunt to score 3 goals so he's essentially a miracle worker. Still think you'll go up. Wouldn't be surprised if it's with Middlesbrough either. Just a hunch.

Choker today, I'd of been happy with a point after winning at Ipswich last week.

Good win over Cardiff today even if we made it unnecessarily difficult on ourselves. If we can shore up the defence a little I think we'll comfortably get to the play offs, at the moment we're a little too fragile at the back.

Would love to take part in this next season, but you know what we're like in the PLAYOFFS...

I'm accepting the playoffs now I think. Bournemouth and Ipswich are just much more consistent than us.

I really can't go through that again though. :(

Another good win for us yesterday although we made hard work of it. Torals miss was a shocker. We have a very tough run coming up now (Norwich, Middlesbrough and Watford all in our next four games) so if we are still in the top six after these games I will be very impressed.

Looooong way to go folks! I struggle to see a top two that doesn't include Derby, they have the experience of this fight, some very high quality players and a manager who has won stuff. Who will get the other automatic place, will be a very interesting fight.

Hope to see plenty of recognisable "faces" over here :)

Any sign of BS_8 or any other Bournemouth posters? You know if they're on any Bournemouth forums?

I'm over the massive disappointment of yesterday, I think lol. I'm still convinced that we'll go up automatically although there's a long way to go yet. I can't see Bournemouth slipping at the moment.

I think the fact we still have to play several of our promotion rivals at home is a big thing. Brentford, Derby, 1p5wich, Middlesbrough, Wolves. Other potential tough fixtures like Forest, Fulham, Sheff Wed are all at Carrow Road as well.

I think we'll finish top 3. Just hope it's in the top two of that.

If we can get a couple of bodies in to give us a few more options, I can see us finishing top 6. Can't see us having the long consistency needed for top 2, but anything else is definitely possible. In most of the games we've lost or dropped points we've actually played quite well, and while we've not been great in the last couple of games, we've picked up maximum points, which we weren't doing before when playing badly. Still missing too many chances, shudder to think how good we'd be with better chance conversion.

Still can't believe we are in the position we are in, and never thought I'd be this confident. Pretty sure all Brentford fans like myself were sure it was all going to go wrong last season right up until the last minute against Preston.

WE should be pushing for the play offs, but suspect we'll finish 10-12 or thereabouts. And then its all downhill thanks to our owners.

Understandable, given what happened the season before!!!!

A confident Norwich fan. What is this?!?

Yeah, I don't know why we have so many doom & gloom merchants within our fanbase. Even the local radio show after each match has people phoning in and moaning straight after a win. Even the first caller after the win at Bournemouth last week was some old git moaning, complaining that the players don't care about the club and are only interested in their pay packet :dk:

We'll be there or thereabouts. I wonder what some people expect sometimes.

At the moment it looks as it's between anyone from 8th upwards who can get into the promotion places. A small gap is beginning to grow between 8th and 9th between Wolves and Sheff Wed (currently 6 points difference) but a string of a few wins together some other team could easily get into the mix.

I long to see Leon Clarke play Premier League football.

I'm here Rammy. As to the promotion race I really don't know. I think injuries or lack of may play a part and I think Norwich sacking their manager has shaken it all up. It's so close that there are no guarantees. Do I think we will finish top 2? No.

I'd be disappointed if we didn't make the play offs. Think the automatic spots may be a little beyond us.

Was speaking with a forest fan on the train Saturday evening, seemed to fancy his chances at a playoff run, and joked that they'd meet Derby!

We made a poor Forest side look almost good second half on Saturday. There's no way they'll make the play offs.

I've said all along we won't finish top 2, I'm sticking to that even though we've been top for a while now! We'll almost certainly have a bad run at some stage and it could just cost us automatic promotion; after last weekend I wouldn't be surprised to see Norwich take it alongside Derby or Ipswich.
