Hello Brother. I'm happy to inform you that my table is indeed the correct one. I'm guessing your issue is with the inclusion of Torquay, is it not?

But iirc brother B2TF has already posted something about the rules in one or two of his posts :pond:so there's no need for me to go on.

Hmmm... well, first off, this is the 'REAL' Brotherhood League Table (see title of thread) and as we all know and readily accept BFT2 is the sole administrator and rule maker for the 'Brotherhood' which I believe consists of reformed teams such as FC Halifax Town (not in the football league in 1986 if I'm not mistaken), Aldershot, Barrow etc etc.

Secondly, feel free to add Torquay to your 'Brotherhood' League.... we'll play our reserves in that if you don't mind as the first team will be taking part in the 'REAL' Brotherhood League. Talking of which, we play our first game in the competition on Saturday against 'REAL' Brothers Hartlepools....

I think your own strange table should have its own thread and people can then comment on the one they believe to be true.

You are taking this a bit too seriously is what I think. TBH, it wouldn't be such a bad idea were you to delete your post?

Are you sure it's me and not you who's a bit weird brother?

Point of order, Vanni, this guy's proper title is Tin-Pot-Brother. Please address him correctly in future. :ds:

Hats off to Olympic Wrexham (1884), a REFORMED club after the original went under, leading the way for Phoenix clubs to follow. Hasn’t stopped them claiming the history of the old club.True pioneers.

Since 1884 we've reached a European quarter final and spent 87 consecutive years in the football league, but you carry on with that one if it makes you feel better. Soon enough the natural order will put you straight back to regional level.

Not sure you've got the hang of this....'Real Brotherhood' consists of teams that were playing in the football league in 1986... just ask BJF2 who runs the (inferior) 'Brotherhood'. Just sayin'

You are confused, my Tin-Pot-Brother. The is ONLY ONE Brotherhood, real or unreal- the one I founded in 2013, which comprises those clubs who were in the Football League in 1986, IN ANY GUISE (read the rules, it's all in there). I am the SOLE administrator, rule maker and authority in this matter.

Thanks for asking. :ds:

God, this thread is absolutely pathetic and embarrassing from the outside. I know this is how it has always been with the ex-FL lot on here, but it's become even more pitiful this season.

This is what happens after spending too long at this level. If you can't escape the Non-League Weirdos, you eventually become one of them

Being a 2 club wanker is also pitiful.

Supporting a brotherhood club (whichever brotherhood you choose to recognise), or in other words a "proper" club, is enough to fullfil one's needs, and therefore a 2nd club is not usually necessary.

To be honest, the definition between a "tinpot" and "proper" club should be based on the proportion of "2 club wankers" in their fan base - traditional non league clubs usually have many, whereas clubs from the "great 92" (see the 1986 ruling) have many fewer.

Proper clubs can go bust and remain proper when reformed, because they retain a lot of proper 1 club fans. Middlesbrough going bust in 1986 (somehow they retained their league place when they reformed) are the most striking example of this.

Oh dear.

As it stands you don't qualify for Soup Ladle's Brotherhood which categorically states that phoenix clubs are exempt. I really can't think of any solution other than to ask for special dispensation.

Failing that, you do still qualify for the B2TF Brotherhood thanks to the 1986 rule.

Wrexham are a founding member of the Real Brotherhood so goes without saying they are in it.

I hoped the Brotherhood would be a little more kumbaya and braiding each others hair and a little less University of Oxford Debating Society.

No such issues in the Real Brotherhood Brother - peace and harmonious coexistence aplenty.

But we don't touch each other's hair - that's a Joseph Smith thing.

I should point out that I only support two clubs because A) I was born in Norwich and all of my family supports Norwich and B) Yaxley are my current local team who I now support and get involved in. I was a season ticket holder at Carrow Road for eleven seasons, and I'm only not not one anymore due to University and general finance meaning it's no longer viable. So it's not as if I support Norwich to glory-hunt, as the bolded would seemingly imply.

That aside, I feel like this 1986 cut-off that B2TF and others are using to define "the Brotherhood" is ridiculously arbitrary, especially as numerous clubs from then have since gone under and reformed in new guises. The bright side is that, now I've got B2TF on ignore, this thread becomes notably less pitiful and much more tolerable.

Supporting a big club as your club, but having an interest in a smaller and or more local club is OK.

As you support Norwich City first and foremost, and Yaxley are your 2nd club because you're local to there, then you're not a 2 club wanker.

2 club wankers are normally people who purport to support an unfashionable usually non league or lower league club, but then have to have a 2nd bigger club as well - either as a conversation piece, or as a safety net, or maybe to glory hunt (kids don't count though, peer pressure etc)

Thank you Brother for taking this on, i was going to tackle it myself but I'm fighting on too many fronts just now. :bdick:

That was the purpose of the Brotherhood in the first place, in response to the spite directed at our clubs by the Tin Pot community, but these Wrexham and Hartlepool wankers are of the, franky, laughable opinion that THEIR clubs are in some way superior to the rest of us. Remember- there is only ONE Brotherhood, it is the one I founded in 2013 and comprises those clubs who were in the Football League in 1986, in ANY guise. Membership is for all time. No member club may leave, no new members may be admitted. There is NO hierarchy within the Brotherhood, all member clubs have equal status. I am the founder and SOLE administator and rule maker. NOBODY else has authority on this issue. :ds:

Not arbitrary at all, it's the last year before the Football League ceased to be a members only club and the little outfits were betrayed by the bigger clubs with the introduction of automatic relegation. As the rules of the Brotherhood state, clubs remain members whatever guise they subsequently take, since the part played in their fortunes by their expulsion from the League cannot be discounted. Thanks for asking. :ds:

Can we just "give over" with this.
So far I have loved being down in the Non-league thread as the vast majority of posters are great, talking almost all!
I get what this thread is about, its similar to having a East Midlands table or a Darn Sarf table etc.
Its a bit of fun, I still can't work out if B2TF is serious with all he keeps on about or if its just tongue in cheek or he is trying to wind everyone up!
I think if you have an issue with this thread just forget about it, even I am thinking about "un watching" it as its beginning to annoy me but I try to remember "its just a bit of fun....its just a bit of fun...."
