Can't remember if this was on the other forum but i'm starting it anyway.

So what games from previous gens do you want to see for the current or future gen?

For me, the big one is Timesplitters
Timesplitters 2 was for me what Goldeneye apparently was for the N64, I loved everything about it.
That said I think there is something in the works but they can't find a developer or something.

Also a game I always liked was Bloody Roar and would love a current gen sequel, I only ever had the PS1 demo.

Although Twilight Princess for the Wii was already a remake, i'd like a version without motion controls.

I'd love to see quite a few series revived: Dino Crisis, Parasite Eve, Onimusha, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger.

As for straight up remakes, I'd love a Streets of Rage remake. Wouldn't even need to be a full blown remake for me, just some slight touch ups, online co-op and perhaps some additional modes like a boss rush mode or something. Same treatment for Golden Axe.

Beyond Good & Evil 2.

The 2003 original was a fantastic game that never got the sales it deserved. Despite this, a sequel was announced SIX YEARS AGO, it even got a trailer (no gameplay)....then it all went very quiet with only the odd confirmation it was still in development.

Think that was one that passed me by. Certainly can't remember playing it.

Timesplitters, Dino Crisis and (a good) Golden Axe sequel would all be amazing.

After playing it a bit recently, I really want somebody to make a new Theme Hospital. Or at least I think I do... but really, what could they do? I could say upgrade the graphics, but the graphics give it so much charm. To be fair, it's the sort of game where all I could hope is that a sequel is announced, I get all shitty about it and say that's a stupid idea, then it comes along and proves me wrong. So yeah, that.

Ni No Kuni 2!

And I'll believe Kingdom Hearts 3 is happening when I'm actually sat playing the fucker.

Also, while not really a sequel so much as something I'd like to see in a sequel... while FF15 seems to be doing it's own thing, how about 16 goes back to its roots? Turn based, proper RPG stuff?

Theme Hospital is a great shout!

I downloaded it the other day after I saw it was being given away for free.

Fuck it, keeping with the theme of reinventing the wheel like with 1FF, I'd love to see them go for something a bit different with Pokemon. Take a risk. A major risk. Like how Nintendo turned Metroid from a 2D platform/adventure to an FPS/Adventure. Give a new a lease of life to the exhausted series.

I still don't own one of X/Y. Was waiting for it to go cheaper, but it never has done. :(

If it's any consolation, it won't revitalize the series for you if you do get it... as a massive pokemon fan who got Y on launch day, I got my 8th badge yesterday. So yeah... taking my time a bit.

Thats what the spinoffs are for.
They'll never change the main series up much.

Eh, the spin offs ain't got shit. The problem with them is, most of the time, they're either just 3D battles with no real game behind it (stadium, Colosseum, ect) or games aimed toward kids. I get that people can turn around and say "but all Pokemon is aimed at kids", and while it's true that it's very accessible, it's also something that adults can see in a different light and also enjoy. I don't really think that's the case with the dungeon games or whatever.

Of course, there was like that XD game and what not, but that just didn't capture the magic. What I want to see is this:

Firstly, put it on consoles: Yeah, Pokemon is great on handhelds, but people have begged for a proper console version for years. Better cinematics, awesome graphics, voice acting, give us everything. By all means give us a cinematic story (and there's potential to do this very well on console) but make the main focus the whole getting the 8 badges and beating the league stuff. We've never had that in a console game. Basically, make it a bigger, better version of every Pokemon game we've had before.

Make it HUGE. Give us a huge map. Give us all of the Pokemon. Make it online. Put everything Pokemon has ever had into one big tasty stew.

And then to keep things fresh... and this is the controversial one, how about changing up the battle system? 1FF does it even though nobody wants it in that series, but give us something to breath new air into the series. I don't know what they could do. Make it live action rather than turn based or something. I'm sure that there are a million systems that could work. Let us control the actual Pokemon? Battles could be epic and cinematic as fuck, rather than just taking it in turns...

If Nintendo did that and released it as a launch title for their next console, it'd sell an absolute bucket load!

Fallout 4. IDGAF about anything else. Well I do, but Gabe Newell is absolutely terrified of the nuber 3 so I doubt we'll ever see HL3 or TF3.

I guess for Pokemon they could probably move away from the turn based battle stuff and give you direct control of the Poke your using, but let's face it, good arena fighters are hard to come by and it would likely not be any good.

Also i never noticed Gabe Newells 3-a-phobia until you mentioned it G.B

As far as I know, some of the original team that worked on TimeSplitters plus a group of fans are working on a multiplayer re-release called TimeSplitters Rewind.

I always give the same answer to this question, and thats Landstalker. They did apparently start to do a remaster of it for the PSP but dont think it ever got made.

With all the recent Zelda remakes, Id give anything to play a proper 3D up to date graphics and dynamics version of Oracle of Seasons/ Ages. That would be amazing.

I'd like a follow up to the Alessa/Cheryl/Heather saga in Silent Hill. I'll wait and see what Silent Hills brings, but I doubt it'll be that.

Brutal Legend is crying out for a sequel, hopefully without the strategy game side of things. Also, the Splatterhouse remake's ending irked me, and it was great fun. Another Battlefield: Bad Company would be good too, but I imagine that'd suck badly now Battlefield has gone all out COD.

I think most of the others I usually think of have been covered, Golden Axe, Streets Of Rage, etc. Both mentioned would make terrific open-world games.

Aye. It was either HL2 episode 3 or HL3 up next, which essentilly means it's never gonna happen :p

Valve are actually porting TF2, DOTA2 and CS:GO to the Source 2 Engine rather than making full blown sequels.

If they could nail a Resident Evil 2 remake like they did with the first game, I'd be up for that.

Has the HD remake still got those infuriating 3D controls? You had the option to turn them off in the Silent Hill re-releases.

They've redone the controls so you can move the character with the left stick alone without it feeling like a tank. Still not amazing, though.

I would like to see a sequel to L.A. Noire. The game was good but it felt like it wasn't fulfilling it's potential. With a few tweaks it could have been a great game. It is looking increasingly unlikely that this will happen though.

Good shout SUTSS. Maybe make it a bit more open ended? I thought where LA Noire fell down was that there was basically a right way of doing things, and as a result, it didnt really stand up to repeat playthroughs.

Definitely. It never felt that your bad decisions or bad handling of a case made any difference to how the game panned out which was it's biggest issue I feel.

Wasn't the team that made LA Noire meant to be doing a game about the orient train or something?

L.A Noire really needed like branching story paths and alternate endings imo.

Did anyone play the Pirates of the Caribbean game for PC that came out about 10 years ago. It was an open world game with very little to do with the films. I think that a remake of that would be pretty good with the advancements that open world games have had.
