QF's
McGill v Murphy - McGill looks a real talent, but he's running into a red-hot Murphy and I expect his class to be too much. Ditto.
O'Sullivan v Bingham - Bingham only ever been this far once before, I expect Ronnie to come through well enough. Ditto
Ding v Trump - I think Ding's win over Higgins will give him the belief to beat Trump in a very close match.
Robertson v Hawkins - Hawkins has been brilliant the past 2 years here, this will be a real battle but think Robertson will just about prevail. Ditto

SF's
Robertson v Murphy - This is Murphy's tournament for me. He's playing superb snooker at the moment. I think it's his time. Robertson will push him extremely close though.
Ding v O'Sullivan - I actually think this could end up very close but O'Sullivan's class and experience to just tell.

Final
Ronnie v Murphy- A potential classic as well. I just have a gut feeling for Murphy this year. He's due a second World title and he's as prepared as ever to finally add it to his collection.

I would love Murphy to win, he is sublime to watch when he's on form. Best, smoothest cue action in the game.

Can he produce a high level for the whole tournament though? I'm not sure. The whole 10 years on from his first win might just mean it is meant to be for him though. He's a bit of an underachiever in my eyes, should have loads more majors under his belt than he has.

Immense stuff from Robertson, 145 break now beating his previous 143. He's a century machine.

When you see Robertson playing like this, you wonder how he hasn't won more in his (relatively) short career. One WC final so far. Should be more really.

All done for 7.40pm. Disappointing. But standard was fantastic.

Yes as mentioned above really feel for the people who had tickets for today particulary tonight.

Managed to get some tickets for Wednesday afternoon QF on Table 2. Whoever that will be? Hoping for Ding/Trump but think it will be Robertson/Hawkins

Long way back already, not beyond the realms of possibility but a shame as had the makings of a 13-12 IMO.

O'Sullivan's desire for headlines and attention is getting a bit tiresome and embarrassing now. Playing with no shoes, smacking his cue on the table and floor and now putting his chalk on the table when he knows you can't.

Trump has been awesome so far, and i'd like to see him win, but i think Neil Robertson will win the tournament if he beats Hawkins.

Setting off to catch the train to Sheffield in he next half-hour.

The second session of Bingham/Ronnie is my table which is perfectly poised and the final session of Murphy/McGill on the other table. Should be another humdinger of an afternoons snooker! :cool1:

After going 3-7 behind, Robertson is now playing the sort of snooker you would expect from him and it's now 7-7.

Ronnie 8-8 Bingham and Robertson trails Hawkins 8-7.

Could be in for an epic night. Still expect the 2 big guns to come through in the end.

When did Judd turn all gangster?

Edit: he hasn't been well. Probably explains it.

That is the worst i've seen Ronnie play for a long while and Bingham deserved to win. Robertson v Hawkins is a cracker though with Robertson winning 11-10 currently.

Hawkins one frame away from another semi final.

Trump the favourite?
