Baggie and Rowe had their contracts cancelled and available, though looks like Abs to Macc. Doesn't look like Brighton will let us extend Fenelon's loan.
Micky Adams didn't seem to rate Richards, but I think he could turn out to be a good recruit for the Robins.
Summing up our business:
-Ryan Hall signed on a 18-month contract from Rotherham United on Saturday.
-Dave Martin's contract cancelled by mutual consent.
-Nathan Oduwa signed on loan from Tottenham until the end of the season.
-Jayden Stockley's loan extended until 7th March.
-Andy Johnson still in the background but unlikely to happen it seems.
John Still still wants one more player tonight. Actually an exciting deadline day for us for a change!
We signed RB Brendan Maloney on a THREE AND A HALF year deal. Cant remember the last time we handed one of those bad boys out. Must say he has been fantastic since joining us on loan but still an element of risk with that length of contract.
That being said I like what Wilder has done (and been backed to do) by signing up our key players on long term deals, the likes of Holmes, Richards, Cresswell, Diamond and now Maloney all on 2.5+ year deals. It will be great not to expect 20 new players turning up in the summer.
Did well in his first 1 or 2 games but then went off the boil. He's your nippy type of striker but is quite small so does tend to get bullied out of games. IIRC there was some sort of bust up with another one of our players with him or something like that, didn't seem to have the best of attitudes I've seen.
Had a bust up in training here with another player on loan because Riley held him down as he went to jump for the ball and he started throwing punches at Sendles-White and ended up going back the following week. I didn't rate him but we ended up playing him out of position. You just know he will score the only goal in a 1-0 away win at the end of the month though!
