I think us signing Rooney put any Croasdale stuff to bed as I believe they play in similar positions.

His fitness is a big issue. He’s got some sort of physical issue that means he can only last 60/70 minutes at best. Not great defensively either. But on the ball, one of the best attacking midfielders in the league.

Will be a good signing at this level but don’t think he’s quite up to football league standard personally.

Could well be right as he was local, I never really thought he did enough when he was with us to earn a f-t deal but lots did and would be pleased to see him back. I think we need to strengthen in other areas first but have to trust Culverhouse as he hasn't got much wrong in the past couple of years.

He’d be a good signing for you. Did he have fitness issues whilst with you too? Probably the main thing holding him back from going up another level in my opinion.

Yes, he only joined mid-season but didn't play many 90 minutes, had the ability but given that we are pretty much the side that got promoted from step 3 I think he might be a 'luxury we can't afford'. Also he will be competing with Chris Henderson for that 'attacking midfielder' slot and he was in the NLN team of the season so no guarantee King would automatically start

He’s a creative central midfielder. Very much a quarterback type midfielder, it looked like he had more time than other players in the South and ran our midfield last season.

It would be a blow if he was to leave but given he signed a contract extension just a few weeks back, Pools would have to pay a fee.

Would be a strange signing then, we have a lot of midfield options.

If you say a fee then there's no chance we'd be in for him unless it's come from our redundancy scheme booster budget boost pay off or whatever it is.

This is a non starter for me, especially if a fee is involved, midfield is the last position we need to strengthen, we have our midfield three in Holohan/Featherstone/Shelton, desperate for strikers, probably need another two, a pair of fullbacks and a wide man.

He was good for us a few years back so if he hasn’t lost his legs he would be a decent squad addition with experience.

However all players who leave the club have no desire to come back due to our chairman so that won’t happen (+ we’ll be offering players less than their local Tesco’s would)
