We have no goal keeper and we’re set to lose 3 of our best 4 players. We’re screwed

Seen other players linked away, like Kurt Willoughby and Kosylo - Haythornthwaite said Fylde wasn't going to become a selling club, but that would be all the top assets gone this year. Surprised Luke Burke signed a new deal as he seemed more than capable in the National League.

Stockport County.
I'd rather we signed Tom Walker. Quality player.

I dont know a lot about Jordan Williams other than he was part of Jim's all conquering Northwich side and got a move to Rochdale.
Tom Walker is a class player. Be a good signing for whoever lands him.

We need a winger or two so can understand links to players in that position such as Jordan Williams. I don't think Fylde would let these players go without a fight though. A lot of people don't like their chairman/owner but he's no pushover.

My sauce tells me we’ve signed Kieran Green from York and close to an agreement with full back Matt Tootle from Notts.

1st couple of our players have left
Nassim L'Ghoul - winger - very skilful - could be worth a punt by any team in this league or above
Lee Worgan - keeper - going into teaching but will still be playing

No you’re spot on. We’ll be paid very well in transfer fees but I’d still obviously rather keep them

Saw Tootle doing some running on Monday . If you can get his head right he's a very good right back for this level. Big ask though, he hasn't played for us all season, had numerous injuries, does have issues and in a tight spot is about as reliable as Liam Noble although not in the same way.
I'm expecting you lot and Stockport to be up there this season.

I read that he has a gambling problem but was a few years ago. Still an issue?

York fans and rumour pages seem to think Green is coming to us. Don’t you have loads of midfielders anyway?

We do but apparently it’s a done deal. The info I get isn’t always correct although I did hear Josh Macdonald had signed about a week before it was announced.

Brilliant. The one player thats been heavily linked to us. Another season of waiting till the last week or two to sign a squad looking likely at this rate

Green is very good player but raw, strong box to box player for 60-70 mins then tires, good in air/tackling but not great at passing.
Ferguson is more of a loss but Green has a lot of potential, good job Newton has resigned he is miles to good for this level.

We’ve sold Mafuta so a tough tackling midfielder is needed. Our first choice 3 are quite technical, two of them attack minded, so we need a type who can come in and break up play.

I couldn't tell you whether all is well for him now, hope it is on a personal level for him. What I do know is that he went missing during our relegation season, and uncharacteristically in an interview after our last pre season game against York the subject of Toots came up and Ardley rolled his eyes over his availability.
I don't think he played a league match for us all season. Ardley doesn't really dig players out on a personal level but in that unguarded moment he'd clearly just about given up on him.

We have agreed terms with Jordan Ponticelli (Coventry) and Jamie Reckord (ex-Solihull) apparently.

Reading that,i can't see DC touching him with a barge pole.

Jordan Williams got a move to Barrow from Northwich - we then sold him for £100,000 to Rochdale.
Skillful direct player, not afraid to get stuck in either and scores a fair few goals for someone who is mainly a wide man and isn't a striker.
Skillful is one word I definitely wouldn't use to describe Williams.

Matt Tootle is a great bloke. But since his last season with us he's just had a number of problems.

Make no mistake, a happy and healthy Tootle does a decent job in League 1 and would be one of the best full backs in League 2, let alone the National League.

All went tits up for him after he didnt get the move to the Championship he thought he'd get in 2014. Fell out with the manager and a few of the players. Went Shrewsbury and his missus cheated on him with Liam Lawrence which meant he didnt want to play football for ages. Had high profile gambling issues and I thought Notts had helped get his head straight. But I thought something was up when I saw he got loaned to Chesterfield recently.

Cant see him surviving at Pools in all honesty. Seems to be a bit of a Mummys boy from his time here so genuinely thought he'd end up at somewhere near Widnes where he's from. Someone like Chester or Wrexham.

Having had a first bid for left back Joel Taylor rejected Harrogate have come back with what is called a significant bid for the player who was player of the season and in the NLN team of the year for last season.

The annual Elliot Durrell to Wrexham rumour mill has started up again, only this time it might have something to it.

Gozie Ugwu is another we've supposedly signed. I don't like the sound of that.

Durrell is probably 18 stone these days, maybe more after lockdown.
