Ah, the cycle in the US...... Shock > grief > anger > debate about gun laws > do nothing

This is just awful.

The man who did it just uploaded the footage of him doing it in first person onto his Twitter page, what the fuck. Got immediately suspended.

Surely not. Someone would have gotten that footage before it was taken down, expect it to be online shortly. No interest in seeing that shit.

The videos posted in the name of “Bryce Williams” show an approach to Parker, Gardner and Ward on the deck where they were filming an interview. The three continue reporting live and do not acknowledge the approaching person. The person filming then angles alongside the cameraman and aims a handgun directly at Parker, who does not appear to notice.

A second video shows the gunman shooting at Parker as she runs away from the shots.

The video then cuts. The Twitter account has now been suspended. Other tweets stated: “I filmed the shooting see Facebook,” “Adam went to [human resources] on me after working with me one time!!!” and “Alison made racist comments. EEOC report filed. They hired her after that???”

what a fucking freak

I saw it, it's eerie but not gory. It's 20 seconds long, first 15 second is him walking with a shaky camera work, last 5 seconds he then walks up to the crew filming and the last frame is him pointing the gun. Very creepy.

It's on liveleak if you fancy a gander. There's no blood or gore. It's just a very, very fucked up video shot in first person.

I just saw the second video, much worse. If anyone really would like a link I can PM it to you, but only if you are sure you would like to. Second one has no gore but it does have the first few gunshots and the camerawoman running away.

I didn't intend this thread to become some weird footage sharing hub.

This thread is where we show our anger at American gun laws, call for change and then forget about it all until the next time.

I apologise. But that is why I said to PM me and not just have it posted in here.

A man, apparently a disgruntled former employee of the TV station, uploaded a video of himself shooting the reporter at close range on social media.
Pathetic.

Hearing the cowardly loon has shot himself.

Land of the dumb and insane. Glad I live in dull wee Scotland!
These incidents are much more common in the US than over here, obviously. But it has the potential to happen absolutely anywhere - as you know with the Dunblane shootings being a particularly nasty example.

Yeah that's true I remember Dunblane well as I was going to my dad's girlfriends funeral that day and it was a doubly horrible day for the family.

The fact that it is a regular occurrence in America that some nut blows people away without any real motive is disturbing to the extreme however. Yes other countries will have their fair share of tragedies like the Sweden gunman the other year, but you never hear of anything as bad as that in Canada where per head of population there is more guns and thats just across their border.

It seems to be as regular as Thanksgiving Day over there.
