We've improved our record in derbies quite a lot recently. Hull and Boro favourites for the mini league but we shall see.

Howdo Tykes,

Interesting thread. Like a 6 nations. If Boro are the 'Ireland', Rotherham must be the 'Italy' (sometimes Scotland !).

I'm in the Middlesbrough IS Yorkshire camp. YCCC used to play there & Cloughie was born there, a proud Yorkshireman he was. Mr. Revie also.

Millers record 14/15:

Middlesbrough 0pts, (H 0-3, A 0-2) - totally outplayed both games.
Leeds 4pts (H 2-1, A 0-0) - exciting home game, fair to say Millers deserved home win. Away 0-0 a right bore draw
SWFC 1pt (H2-3, A 0-0) - thriller at home, worst game in history away
Terriers 4pts, (H 2-2, A 2-0) - very drunk for both these games, so.... ?

Not bad 9pts /24pts. Had to look some up. Completely forgot some even though I attended every one. Soon as I looked, the memories flooded back, HTFC excepted.

Reckon its between Boro & Hull for top spot. Millers & Hudders for wooden spoon.

Have a feeling SW could be the dark horse this season. Only a matter of time anyway. Ditto Leeds, but not this season. Both will be back in Prem inside 5 yrs. I'd be delighted if Halifax got back into FL but not looking likely. In relegation zone again, slipping back towards National League regional section. Early days yet. The new Scarborough (Athletic) are still further down pyramid. We were once 12 clubs strong.

Fascinating stuff.

Compiling all these stats and figures has got to be better than watching Last of the Summer Wine, eh?

Middlesbrough beat us 1-0 the other week and i dont think you added that on, i dont see our home match against them put down on fixture list also, Downing should be on the goal scorers list aswel cos he scored against us.

Nah, you were pretty decent for 70 minutes Saturday, worked hard and closed us down in packs, we lacked Hutchinson and Bannan which left us a bit short in midfield which played into your hands, i'd argue you are a decent striker and a more mobile centre half from being a solid mid-table Championship side, Huws and Dempsey impressed me. In the last 20 minutes Forestieri showed why we paid £3m for him, utter class.

Surprised Forestieri has done so well for you, I didn't think he was all that at Watford. £3m will turn out to be an absolute bargain if he fires you to where you want to be.

FWIW, Joao looks half decent as well. Some decent attacking options for your lot this season.

He's always been a good player but I never realised how hard he works for the team, at Watford he wasn't a regular starter, he had to fight Deeney and Vydra for a shirt, he's a great Number 10, we play 4-1-3-1-1 system which suits him perfectly.

Lucas Joao is going to be a great player, he's still very raw but has all the attributes needed to succeed, he's going to have a poor spell but if we keep faith he will be 15-20 goal a season striker for us and is two footed!

We're no where near fit enough for Wagner's Dortmund style pressing yet so I think we'll have a few good 70 minute performances. As much as I like the change in direction, we're gonna need luck with injuries and strengthening in January or we'll be in a real dogfight.

Aye that is about right re the fitness, it takes time to get up to speed and get to the level required. A striker seems to be your glaring priority that and a bit of creativity.

Succinct response, I forgot all Wolves players are paragons of virtue, like the diving c*** Dicko!
