Just as a quick point guys, can't thank any of you enough for your donations so far. We will also be using a couple of other techniques to help ensure we don't run into issues down the line and so that it's not just plain donations (which is wrong IMO) from the community to the site - so that people get their 'moneys worth'... We will be offering upgrades to use the shoutbox, possibly another to be able to 'blog' on the site and then we have things like 'The Store' which is basically an affiliate link to Amazon, whereby - whatever you purchase through that we take a small percentage cut.

I would hate for people to just 'donate' for donating sake and feel as though they are getting nothing from it at all. If we add them all together then people are happy and it would ensure that future upgrades as the site (hopefully) gets much bigger, wouldn't be an issue.

I don't know if I speak for everyone, but I donated purely out of the fact that 2 guys were willing to work at this from the moment the announcement was made, to make sure a community stayed together. I was by no means a prolific poster on TFF anyway, but I think the effort that a lot of you guys went to as posters to make it what it was, was fantastic, and to lose all that by the click of a button is shambolic no matter what the reasons. Well done chaps, I think you've started something great here!

I don't think anyone's 'donating for donating sake' - we're donating because we want the community online and know it'll involve costs, and don't want the people running it to be unable to provide the service/have to cut corners/pay for it themselves. Little privileges are nice but I think as long as we think you're putting the money to good use, you're very welcome to it.
