I assume your chaps were watching the nominations for goal of the season at half time because they went and scored 3 better ones in the second half.
Why we gave you so much time and space I really don't know but we'll done on your win.
Good job Jensen made so many good saves as otherwise it would have been REALLY embarrassing.
Unsure really, theoretically Crewe have a lot more to play for. However, we tend to be a bit 'either or' under Smith. In that, we were absolutely turd from January to a couple of weeks back, looking like we couldn't score, couldn't be arsed, couldn't win. It's 4 cleansheets running now in the league and the 1 goal we needed from Bradshaw seems to have filled everyone with confidence. It wouldn't surprise me if we do lose, but I have to say, I fancy us to get at least a goal or 2 in the game, which is NORMALLY enough for us to take all 3 points.
21 cleansheets suggests that if we do score, we SHOULD win.
Took in this game last night. Walsall played the same type of decent football that they've played whenever I've seen them (apart from at Wembley), but added the finishing touch - helped by a change of approach in the second half when they actually tried shooting!
But I will add that Crawley were pitiful. Having seen 35 League 2 games this season, I'm struggling to think of a worse team in THAT league, let alone league 1. Tactically inept - either they didn't do any homework, or were unable to adapt during the game, either way, what on earth are they paying a manager for if that's the best that he can do?
Some lovely goals in there, sounds as though it could have been 10. Winning 1-0 late on on Saturday gave us the spark and shackles release that we had needed for weeks. No goals and defeats all over the shop in the last few months lead to some big pressure.
