What's happened to Walsall? Earlier in the season you were on the play off fringes, now you're down with Gills just above the relegation places and I hear you've lost 6 on the trot.
We've actually won 2 on the trot for the first time this season, which get's me thinking we might get something out of this game

We are actually in reasonable form, we started the season awfully. The league is so tight and we've lost in a row at home, where if we'd won - we would be near 6th. We are set up to play away from home and are unbeaten in 10. We have the best defensive record in the league until a month ago, when Swindon were clinical and knocked some of the stuffing out of us. It's much of a muchness in the league. 2 defeats are you in relegation trouble, 2 wins and you have your eye on 6th. From 4th down to anyone near the bottom, you really could have any sort of season from this point on. We were in the drop zone after a month of the season and back there at the end of October, we've been predominantly much better since then.

Gillingham play us on Thursday evening so it's moved to sunday, think I heard the time is to do with a market in Walsall or something

Yes your right City169, they have a market outside the ground every Sunday apparently, hence the 6pm kick off

Might be making a quick trip up the M6 for this one, will be my first consecutive league games for about a decade.

What's parking like Saddlers?

Last time I went I parked about 100 yards away from the away end, probably was a couple of quid but no problem.

If you get there early enough, when you go over the hill just after coming off the motorway, at the bottom of the hill at the traffic lights, turn right towards the ground and then take your first right and there is loads of parking down there. I've always got parked down there and I'm usually quite late so shouldn't be a problem. 5 minute walk (if you walk slow) to the ground.

On a sunday evening with about a 3.5k gate parking will be an absolute piece of piss. If you follow Toms directions above but go another 50 yards passed that first right he mentioned and turn left (mcDonalds on left) you are in a giant retail car park. 1 minute walk round to ground from there. I park there for every match and haven't had a ticket yet (touchwood).

After the lord mayor's show comes to mind...although, I don't think Gills will fancy a Thursday treck to Bristol, back home, to a 6pm Sunday treck up into the Midlands. Hoping that goes in our favour. However, we have lots of 'big game' players, that just can't get up for games in and around us in the table, so we generally lose these games - or draw 0-0 at best.

We need to win, but it could go either way.

We're hoping the Walsall players are all starry eyed about Wembley on Sunday evening, as I don't think Gills will be after Thursday's match. Having won two in a row I have a little more hope than I would have done a month ago, but I'd still settle for Saddleradd's 0-0 at this stage given the chance.

Yes there is a thread, keep scrolling down, about 13 replies last time I looked. The kick off was put back to Sunday because we played on Thursday night. And the 6pm kick off is because they have a market at the ground every Sunday afternoon.

From the line up, it's one of two things. Either:

Nelson
Hoyte - Egan - Ehmer - Loft
McGlashan- Hess - Pritchard - Dack
McDonald - Marquis
Or its:

Nelson
Hoyte - Egan - Ehmer
McGlashan - Hess - Pritchard - Loft
Dack
McDonald - Marquis
I would suggest the second may suit the players better, other than possibly Hoyte.

They're gunning for Lofty, seems an odd selection with Galbraith on the bench.

Sounds like we aren't really joining in yet.

Nelson saves from Cook, resulting corner off the line. Going to end up will Gills going ahead shortly as we always miss chances and then go behind!

Sounds like the extra two days rest for Walsall is counting for a bit here. Nelson keeping us in it. If Cody/Marquis can stick away a chance at the other end we could be on for a great result. Would take a draw though, keep the momentum going.

Don't worry, you will be taking a nice 1-0 lead home. Typical Walsall fashion.

Bradshaw off with a hamstring injury, confirming that we won't score today.

There we go lads, as predicted. Enjoy. Firmly embroiled in a relegation battle now if Bradshaw is out for more than a game or so.
