Pritch on loan has been great. £600k for Gray from non-league who then scores 17 league goals is a pretty good signing as well!

£100k for Freddie Sears in January and has 9 goals. Equally as good a signing!

Compaing the price to how well they've performed (not including loans), my top 5 in no particular order:

Keiren Westwood, - Sheff Wed (free)
Andre Gray - Brentford (600k)
Jota - Brentford (undisclosed)
Michail Antonio - Notts Forest (1.5mill?)
Craig Cathcart - Watford (Free)

Think it would be better to make a list of worst Championship signings in relation to Reading.

Anton Ferdinand, Jure Travner, Zat Knight, Yakubu...

Anton Ferdinand

Forgot you had him, has he even played a game for you?

48 minutes all season.

Don't sign players who have been injured for the past two years. Especially on a two year contract.

He's never really excelled as a footballer, and lived of his brothers reputation. If it wasn't for Rio, I doubt he would have ever have played in the Prem.

Jacob Butterfield for us, sold Clayton for £1.5million + Butterfield. The lad is our only real quality player in the squad, rightly player of the season too.

Gomes was an important signing - experienced and top class performances between the sticks at times.

Signing Afobe changed our season round, certainly.
Jota and Gray would seem to be the stand-outs for me.

I think Afobe would have been the signing of the season if we got him in the summer rather than half way into the season.

For Wednesday it'd have to be Kieren Westwood who came on a free transfer from Sunderland, the best keeper in the division by a country mile, some of the saves he's made this season have been unbelievable. Also have to give a mention to Tom Lees, came for a tiny fee from Leeds United and has been an absolute colossus at the back alongside Glenn Loovens, and contributed to a season where the club equalled its best ever clean sheet record.

Jota, Antonio and mid-season Afobe for me.

Afobe's been in fine goal scoring form - and Jota and Antonio are fantastic players, and both excite you when they're on the ball.

Good to watch.

From my limited view of the Championship, I would think Andre Gray was a great bit of business and Afobe will do a lot of damage next season. I've always thought Tarkowski is a good player but have no clue how he's done up here.

Callum Wilson. I know he cost a fair wedge but to make the step up from L1 so seamlessly is very impressive.
