There's only one Alex Rae.

Predicting this game is tough.

Reading are all over the place: thump Fulham, thrashed by Birmingham City (in itself a rare sentence). They've not won on the road since late November.

Our home goal difference is +4 (17-13), their away GD is -17 (12:29), which suggests a comfortable Wolves win.
In the seven League games since Clarke took over, they have scored 7, conceded 6. Their average score over these games is almost exactly 1-1, which is not exactly stellar, but then our own scoring record isn't great either. In our last seven League games, we have scored 9, conceded 3: average score slightly better at 1.25 to 0.42. Fuck, this is way too scientific.

Heart says 1-0. Head says 0-0. I can almost hear the dulcet tones: Wolverhamptonwanderersnil, (voice lifting) Readingnil.

Attendance 20,235. Yellow cards for Price and Iorfa.

Away form is what needs turning around for us, but isn't too bad. Under Clarke we could easily have won all 3 away games in the league, all punished for a lack of goal scoring when on top. We did win both our away cup matches in the FA Cup in January.

I think despite Wolves' good form we should be looking at getting a draw here, we're in good form, hard to beat and don't think Wolves are much better than us. If it wasn't for our weak defence under Adkins we would have won the home game easily instead of drawing 3-3.

Driving up to this one because the railway line Between Banbury and Leamington Spa is shut for at least the next 2 weeks.

As for the game hopefully it won't be as bad as the 4-1 beating we got back in December 2004.We were so shit that day that even Leon Clarke scored twice. He even scored in the return game at the Madejski.

Probably 0-0 or 1-0 either way.

Do you realise that in those two games, you've seen almost a fifth of all the goals that #legend #starstriker Clarke has scored for Wolves over his five years with Wolves?

Sounds like a well-deserved win for Reading. We had 2 shots on target, Reading had 5. Possession means absolutely - and I really mean absolutely - nothing. The biggest problem Wolves have is that the entire country - including my friend's cat, Jezebel - knows how Jackett plays a team, and this utter predictability makes us an open book. The only reason we beat Blackpool was simply that they are really a truly, truly awful team. Wolves have no idea how to attack. By the time we get the ball forward, the visitors have time to go to the Mander Centre, do a bit of shopping, catch a film, have a bite to eat and saunter back to the stadium with a pork pie.

Have to drool over our central midfield options currently. Williams and Chalobah were excellent, with Norwood and Akpan doing well off the bench, and could even afford to leave Guthrie and Karacan at home. Was central midfield where we really won it today, great performance. Just about worthy of the three points.

10 clear of the drop now, all about finishing as high as possible. Hopefully keep our run of never finishing outside of the top 9 since promotion back to this league going. Only one win off that position now, crazy.

Great performance, so much love for Danny Williams, really should be plying his trade at a higher level.

Very good performance especially in the second half.Apart from a spell just before and after the Wolves goal Federici was never seriously tested which goes to show well our defence has improved since Clarke took over.Hard to believe this is the same team that let in 6 at Birmingham back in December.

Danny Williams is now playing as well as he did last season.Hector was immense in that second half and for the stick Pogs gets off some of our fans he worked his bollocks of today.

I think we can put any thoughts of relegation to bed.

Personally I am fairly happy with the season, I wasn't sure how we would cope on our return, it's clear to me that we are mid table fodder, we have the odd good day, taking a couple of hammerings and then had many middling days. Seen loads of folk moaning about the audacity of our players for choosing to lose at home.

Agree that we are mid-table quality. I can't realistically see us in the play-offs. Much as most of us love the McD-Price/Evan-Edwards-Sako-Henry-La Parra mix, it's really not a promotion-winning combo. I think we all used to think they were. But then that was when we were in League 1.

Personally, I'd like to see a new midfield. No hurry for it, but I believe the next step upwards needs a fresh approach.

Love Danny Batth's interview to Radio WM after the game ... "If we hadn't conceded 2 goals we would have won 1-0" ..... well cheers for the insight Danny!

Also agree with the Wolves fans posts above, we seem to have a shitty record against Reading though, only our record against Huddersfield is worse I think ... Guess who we have in our next game?!
