At least our annual loss at Molineux is out of the way.

FT. Lose next game and serious questions will be asked of LJ and rightly so.

Don't want him out but we're shipping goals everywhere and are terrible away from home.

I don't see us going down, so would give him January to bring in players to help. Can't see us not bringing in a striker so Tammy can either be given some rest periodically or we can play with 2 up top consistently.

Seems majority of OTIB has turned against Johnson, didn't take long.

We may well do, we're firmly in a relegation battle currently and we shouldn't be with our squad, so I can understand people turning on him. You can't just say "I don't think we'll go down" and not make changes because this happened to Wolves a few years ago, no-one actually believed they'd go down until they did.

I'm not going to turn on him but he needs to turn it around and sign players in January that will play in the first team, not that will be viewed as "one for the future" and sit on the bench for the rest of the season like most of our summer recruits.

Self inflicted 1 goal defeat as per.

Fuck knows what Flint was doing and his time as guaranteed starter HAS to be over now.

Think we've planned to bring in a goalkeeper since the Brighton game. Just a case of getting to the window. I'd approach Sam Johnstone and tell him he'd be #1 if he joined us as opposed to fighting for a space at Villa (where some reckon he's going)

Or Magnusson, not Flint. Apparently Magnusson was shite again today.

Watch the second goal, I've always been a big fan of Matthews but that's appalling. Fucking lazy.

Hope that we have a CB, LB lined up for the window, I'd maybe say two CB but with Williamson nearing fitness I'd be willing to let him be given a shot first.

After a really good day at the rugby, I knew we had lost but, by god, this makes for depressing reading.
I won't, like many haven't, call for LJ's head, but I have to question the wisdom of the extended contract as it make no sense to me at all.
I gather we had one disallowed that the Wolves supporters were saying was over the line, is that right?
Roll on January I suppose.

First home win since September, what a relief. Still no striker has scored for Wolves since August which is very worrying. Thank god we can rely on Costa and Cavaliero, because Dicko can't hit a barn door. I'd go as far as shipping him out in Jan and bringing in 2 strikers to replace him and Paul Gladon.

Bristol City looked a decent outfit and a draw would have been a fairer result. Abraham looks a real handfull at this level, hope he isn't another wasted statistic in Chelsea's long list of academy players who never get given a chance. Your squad looks a lot better than your position in the table suggests. With a couple of additions in Jan you'll be safetly in midtable.

Can we have Paul Gladon? We could stick him at left back and he'd probably be better than Bryan & Golbourne.

Maybe if you'd have accepted our £6.5M bid for Joe Mason we wouldn't be in such a mess after relying on a 18 year old and a 36 year old to carry the team going forward since Kodjia left.

I can't believe that offer got rejected, haha.

He's been injured ever since you made that bid for him, infact today him coming off the bench was his first appearance for us since that injury 3/4 months ago.

Ah right. I was under the impression he was only a squad player for you, especially after some of your summer signings? Thought it was a very good fee but I suppose your board had the sense ours didn't, and recognised they didn't have time to get an adequate replacement to cover.

It was a very good offer, in any other situation we would have accepted it, the only reason we rejected it was because we wouldn't have any time to bring in a replacement. Since Joe Mason was injured no striker has scored for Wolves since August. I'd much sooner sell Dicko in January, not good enough for this division. Somebody told be he hasn't scored a goal in the Championship for 512 days...

Mason would've rejected us anyway, why move from Wolves to Bristol City on a similar wage? Sideways move.

Do you reckon? I'm sure he'd have been starting for us, hence the bid. And Mason isn't exactly an Andre Gray/Dwight Gayle in terms of stature. Saying that, I suppose Clough rejected us.

In fairness Clough's rejected other championship clubs supposedly, seems to genuinely love Bolton.

Yeah, I think Mason would've. What's the incentive for him to up sticks and move again after only being at Wolves six months to join us on the same wage?

Dunno if he would start for us either that's the thing, ahead of who, Tammy up top or Tomlin in behind?

It was a panic bid done at the last minute, I doubt they even checked with his agent whether he'd actually be interested in moving.

Bit unfair, he got 14 in 37 our first year back in an attacking side and worked really well as an attacker rather than just a goal scorer that year. He didn't score last season prior to his injury and hasn't scored since. It's about 20 games without a game in actuality and that includes appearances from the bench and playing in some poor sides with zero intent.

I think he has the Afobe and Sako partnerhip to thank for the majority of those goals. Since his return from injury he hasn't offered us anything. No striker has offered us anything since August, and whatever way you look at it 4 months without a striker scoring for the club is poor. I have sympathy with Bodvarsson's case because he's been playing without a proper break for 2 years now, Hopefully he'll be more up to speed in a month or two.

As for Dicko, I appreciate all he has done, and seems to be a very popular player with both the players and fans, but I can't see us progressing forward if we keep playing him the way we do. If we want to play 1 guy up front with 3 behind, there are much better suited players around who could play this role better than Dicko. We need a Kevin Doyle sort of player in my opinion.
