Think we'll win this game comfortably.

3-1 Wolves

Afobe, Sako, Henry for us
Mowatt for Leeds

We'll still be 8th by the end of the game.

Yeah can't disagree with that. All sorts of shit going on and we've got nothing to play for. Doesn't suggest we're going to be firing on all cylinders for this. At least it doesn't matter but bloody hell I miss the days we actually had something to play for past March in a season.

Sorry to be off topic but what's going on with Mirco Antenucci. Is it true that the manager has been told not to select him because if he scores 2 more goals you have to offer him a new contract? Crazy if true...

Depends who you believe. No-one has actually confirmed it.

It supposedly is true that he does get an extra year if he does get to 12 (he has one more year left as it is) so it is believable considering he's not exactly young so essentially a 3 year contract is perhaps a bit extreme but Redfearn brought him on at the weekend. Hope he starts today but who knows. I don't think Redfearn is going to sit there with his hands tied though with what happened last week. He's got nothing to lose now really - already looks likely he won't be here next season.

Nice touch by Wolves and the 2 captains there.

Puts football into prespective

Agree - nice for the family who are suffering such the tragedy.

Wolves punished for trying to play out from the back - bit of a fluke deflection in the build up to the goal, but sharp reaction and finish.

What's your response then, Wolves?

This front line of Sako, Afobe and Dicko... With these in form I don't fear anyone in this league.

Just seen Mowatt's goal as well - cracker.

Dave Edwards - the scapegoat last season, has popped up with an 88th minute bullet header.

4-3 - what a game.

Fair play Wolves,
At least you gave us a couple of goals to make a game of it

Well that wasn't comfortable at all...

Great win though, especially with Ipswich and Brentford dropping points, roll on Birmingham on Saturday!

Also JJH I think the majority of Wolves fans have always liked Edwards, he has been a great servant to the club and gives his all every game. I think the issue was a few years ago in the Prem when a minority of our fans didn't think he was good enough and were quite vocal about it.

We were pretty shit tbf. Gifted two goals. Did quite well at 3-2 but Wolves deserved the win really. Couldn't cope at the back but our team is super young and they'll learn from tough tests like today.

Don't agree. I think Leeds played extremely well. You have a young side who are playing in an atmosphere of uncertainty and with ownership squabbles (do let us know who the fuck is in charge when you find out).

Although we gave you two of your three goals - and arguably Batth's powerful volley may well be a goal of the month contender for you - Leeds put up a creditable performance and it created an entertaining game for both sets of supporters and for most neutrals.

You're just one or two players short of a really good, promotion chasing side. As someone on YEP comments said....what would Leeds look like with Afobe, Dicko and Sako in the team?

Pity that you have such a small, quiet away following though.:bg:

There were some pluses but I just thought on another day you could have ended up winning 5-1. We were sloppy in possession and weak at the back but you're right, the pace going forward was very tough to contain and that's what we are missing. We would look good with that added to the team but the problem is how much of the team will be left? I'm very proud that our midfield 5 had an average age of 20 and 4 from our academy but if you believe the rumours that they're being touted around, it's just another case of one step forward two steps back.

I don't want to sound overly negative but it's desperately frustrating when finally we look like we are building towards something, it seems like we are prepared to break it all apart by forcing out the manager and selling the talent.

You lot are going through some real problem ownership crap right now and Redfearn's obviously caught up in it all. You came back from 3-1 down to level the scores. For a period, it looked like you might kick on and score the winner. You are weak at the front, but IMHO the rest of your team is decent and with the addition of two or three players in the summer, you'll move upwards.

I agree with being proud of the academy stats. Four of our team and one of the subs yesterday were from our academy. I think there have been times this season when we've had 6 former academy players playing with a further two on the bench.

Yeah it's always nice and they've been the cornerstone of our revival this season really. Mowatt's gone from being tidy without really offering anything unique last season to having a chance of getting into double figures this season with goals (the vast majority being from distance) and Byram's getting back to his best with Cook being impressive and Taylor filling in well since Warnock's departure.

Up front is a funny one as we do have goals up there - Antenucci and Sharp are perfectly good Championship strikers but neither are at their best in our current system where they're on their own, hence why Morison has played a lot but there's only so much you can tolerate of a target man with 0 goals in 23 apps this season.

If you tighten up the complacency at the back I think teams will not fancy you in the play-offs, should you get there. Always rated Sako and alongside the front two, better teams than us will be very frightened. Decent club, for all you often get the better of us, and wouldn't begrudge you sneaking up through the play-offs.

Until November we had the meanest defence in the entire football pyramid. Funny how things change.

I can't see us quite making the playoffs: Brentford and Ipswich are both better teams. We play well against certain types of team but we struggle against others. I can see us beating Boro and Birmingham but failing to beat Millwall and Wigan in our last two games this season. I think we'll finish in 8th.
