So Pep has said that due to comments from Yayas agent that until his agent or Yaya apologises to Man City, the players and the coach then Yaya will not play for Man City.
So it's down to ego now. Yayas, his agents and Peps. Peps only so far as he won't backtrack on what he's openly said now in a press conference.
So what's going to happen? Will Yaya get his agent to apologise? Will Yaya apologise, or will he sack his agent as some sort of show that he doesn't approve of the comments made (even though he's said nothing about it so far), or will he be training with the reserves til January and then bugger off?
Is the Chinese transfer window still open?

Pep is (smartly) using this as a convenient excuse not to play him when it was pretty obvious he had already made his mind up. Too old, too slow. On the rubbish heap with Joey Barton.

Oh, the response from Yaya's agent is pretty funny:

"Guardiola wins a few games and thinks he is king. I live in Europe so I can say whatever I like and Guardiola can't stop me.
"I will apologise to Guardiola if he will apologise to Manuel Pellegrini for what he did to him."

Sky said:
Yaya Toure’s agent, Dimitri Seluk, has told Sky Sports News HQ that he has nothing to apologise for and that Pep Guardiola should instead be apologising to Manuel Pellegrini.

“Guardiola wins a few games and he thinks he is king,” Seluk said. “I live in Europe so I can say whatever I like and Guardiola can’t stop me.

When asked if he will apologise, he said: “What do I need to apologise for? Ok, I will apologise to Guardiola if he will apologise to (Manuel) Pellegrini for what he did to him.

“If you are a gentleman, this just does not happen. He [Pellegrini] signed a new contract last year and then he gets pushed out for Guardiola to come in. Pellegrini was a gentleman."

“Guardiola also needs to apologise to Joe Hart It is not normal and it is not right to come to England and to get rid of the few English players," Seluk told Sky Sports News HQ. "They send away many people from England and they have a lot of Spanish people there. When you come to a country you must respect the country and respect its people.

“When Yaya went to Man City, they could only dream about the Champions League. The biggest stars in Europe did not want to come to City, but Yaya came. They weren’t a big club. After he arrives they started winning; two league titles, cups and now the semis of the Champions League.

“I want Man City to win everything; to win all their games because it means more trophies for Yaya. City have great players, but Guardiola wants new future for Yaya, for Hart…and they won’t be the last. I respect managers like Ranieri who achieve without spending so much money on players.”

I think, unless Yaya just sacks the guy, then that's him done at City. Shame he's let his agent blot his copybook over the past couple of years, because it means he's leaving under a cloud rather than as the legend his earlier seasons would have deserved.

Thanks for everything Yaya. Enjoy China.

Yaya and his agent have always been a couple of troublesome pricks.

If Guardiola didn't fancy him in his prime he was never going to fancy him now that he is over the hill - like GG says this is just a nice, easy excuse to get rid of him.

His agent has just been on SSN. 'When Guardiola apologises to Hart, Pellegrini and Yaya, then I'll apologise to him'.

Then threw in the 'City will lose a lot of African supporters now. They will all go and support United instead'.

I doubt most African football fans have heard of City, never mind support them.

It's Iheanacho I feel sorry for. Ignored by an entire continent.

They should swap from the dickhead Toure brother to the comical Toure brother and support Celtic.

In all knowledge that that was an attempt at what the 'kids' call 'trolling', having a four time consecutive African player of the year as a key player has probably helped a little in that respect. Throw in Itchy Nachos, Kolo Toure, Adebayor, Bony, even Benjani and City've had a decent presence in African football of late.

Does anyone care?

He's been a huge player in the PL since he arrived (tailing off last season, mind) so him being on his way is worthy of note, especially as it's coming from an agent's meltdown.

Half German. But edited, because I forgot that it was his brother who flipped over to being Ghanian.

Stop taking Man City seriously, no one else does.

City are a better side without him in it. So many times any sort of decent opposition have ran straight through Man City in midfield because the likes of Fernando/Fernandinho were overwhelmed because of his lack of wort-rate and willingness to track back. We all know he has tons of quality on the ball but that's besides the point when playing for a manager like Pepe Guardiola.

Does ColB have two accounts or do we have two members from Staffordshire that support Port Vale and Liverpool and have a penchant for taking pictures of themselves posing whilst wearing stupid hats?
