York City have appointed Russ Wilcox as their new manager at Bootham Crescent.
Wilcox replaces Nigel Worthington, who recently resigned following York's position in the table, despite only suffering 4 defeats, drawing 7, and winning 1. Wilcox was sacked exactly a week ago by League 1 side Scunthorpe United, due to poor form.
Wilcox takes charge of a York side sitting in 22nd place of League 2, just one position and level on points with the relegation placed Oxford below them.
Thoughts?

Knowing how football works York will win the Play offs and Scunthorpe will get relegated

Even the knee jerk reactions have made there way down the lower divisions now!

I don't think he will be a good appointment. Scunthorpe won an awful league 2, and gave a ridicolous amount of points away from winning positions. The standard of league 2 last season was horrific and when they were promoted in a tougher division this year they have looked like fish out of water. He won't have any financial latitude at York and thus I don't see him doing much to be honest. Sacked by this time next year.
