RefWatch; Ref for York v Wombles game (P14, W8, D2, L4) is Nigel Miller, 55, a big, scary looking ex-cop from Durham (his son Andy is linesmanning). Hardest looking ref in the league, image of Tywin Lannister (pre crossbow on the shitter). Oldest one too - they did have to retire at 48, but everyone was too scared to tell Big Nige. Has a big, booming voice that travels miles, which came in handy when he was fighting Orcs in Mordor with Frodo and battling Ned Stark in (Jeff)Winterfell. Breeds prize winning birds and roosters as a hobby, has a huge aviary at the back of his house, so he's used to getting woken up by a pair of massive big black cocks every morning (just like his mum). Ashley Barnes got a 4 match ban for deliberately tripping him in a Brighton v Bolton game in '13. Reffed Wombles twice, a 3-1 away loss to Bradford in Dec '11 in FA Cup 2nd round (3Y), and the 0-0 draw away to Fleetwood in March last year (1Y). Reffed York twice, both draws (5Y, 1R). Hates the scum, reffed them once against Oldham & they lost 2-1. Hates them. Top man. Home win % is 35% - quite low. In 35 games last season he gave 88 Y & 1 R - average Y, low R.
Anagram Watch; Ref Nigel Miller = Rile Elf Gremlin. I'll Feel Me Ring. Frill Minge Leer

No need to be a "worried womble", we are shiiite and I wouldn't imagine you'd have to get out of second gear to win. 1-3, and Russ Wilcox surely to be collecting his P45 shortly afterwards.

Looking forward to this one, always a top away trip and looks a good time to be playing York. Going for 2-0 Dons with Lyle Taylor on the score sheet again.

Check out daggers goals , in fact most of Yorks conceded goals ....Low across the keeper , who only dives once it's passed him ....I ve seen dozens like it with me own eyes

Credit to the wombles who took there chances and throughout the game looked a different class to a dreadful York side. Despite Wilson (AFC Wimbledon keeper) spilling alot of catches in a worried individual performance from him, we never looked like scoring from it. Even when we did score! Our fans voices at the final whistle said it all!

I like football again. We win two games in a row, Scum lose 3-0, Chelsea lose 2-1, the FA Cup 1st round draw in on Monday, and next up for us is Hartlepool at home which touch wood, we should win.

Good performance from us, lost our shape a bit when Sean Rigg went off but in the end a comfortable win. York fans chanting “fecking useless” at their own players towards the end, shame to see that but they were right, amongst the worst I’ve seen this season with Barnet and Yeovil. I’ll expect to hear of some changes at Bootham Crescent shortly.

It's pretty rare for my predictions to be so accurate, I have to say. The club website is reporting that Wilcox and his assistant, John Schofield, have left the club.

Uncanny...

Quite disappointed you've sacked your manager actually. Surely the only way is up now?
